Single Collection, Vol. 1by: Hikaru Utada Release Date July 04, 2006 Being a huge Ayumi Hamasaki fan, having found her accidentally on iTunes and then bought loads of her music while in Japan, I felt it was time to branch out and try a bit more J-Pop. Searching made me come across Utada Hikaru and having read many positive things, I decided to buy a nice safe Singles album. And how good a choice it was. It is completely different from other J-pop I have heard, but it is excellent in its own way. I've only had it for a week but I've listened to it all and many of the tracks are great, especially Automatic, For You, Sakura Drops and Colors. Would thoroughly recommend this for experienced Utada fans or for first-timers like me who want to sample her. |

Since this album Utada Hikaru is on her fourth(?) album 'Deep River' which includes the massive no.1 'Hikari' her songs also feature on the rush hour 2 sound track. This CD is fresh if a little dated. Hikki can blend it all into everything she wants. Swwwwweeeetttt CD! A must for any Janet Jackson or Pink fan! |

. Colorsby: Utada Hikaru Release Date This features the song Simple & Clean from Kingdom Hearts as well, and I have to say is a good contrast. Colors is a powerful japanese ballad and Simple & Clean a powerful english ballad both of which you will love. Go buy it and if you're a Kingdom Hearts fan, then this is all the more reason because of Simple & Clean. |
