Very Best Of Smooth Jazz

I bought this album because it was cheap, and I am interested in jazz. Not that I am a jazz fanatic. I am usually an electronic buff, but want to explore other genres as well to not get the tunnel vision one tends to get with just listening to one genre. So I dare sometimes dive deep into jazz. Not that I have gotten the chance much, so this CD would be a first attempt.

Well, to be frank, I was mildly disappointed. This is not jazz, I know that much. This is soul of various origins. Granted some tracks are really old, and some are very good. But if soul was what I wanted, which is not the case, I would have gone to the local gas station and bought a 10 cd package of the stuff.

When i first saw the movie, i fell in love, not with Hugh or Julia's lines but, with the film's fantastic music.
This collection of songs has become my favorite ever since and i even danced "She" by Elvis Costelo in my wedding reception.
I strongly recommend it

The Jersey Boys Original Broadway Cast Recording

Having just seen the Jersey Boys at the Prince Edward Theatre in London I can thoroughly recommend this CD as a fabulous memento of the show! Yes its the American cast and perhaps it would have been nice if it had been a live recording of the cast performing the show- on the other hand the sound is chystal clear and the snatches of dialogue bring the show's atmosphere into prominence.
I must admit while I am old enough (late 50s)to have known the Four Seasons first time around, there was so much competition from the Beatles, Stones, Who, Byrds, Dylan etc and then the US West Coast pyschedelic era that I didn't fully appreciate them then- although I have always liked their classics such as "Sherry" "Big Boys DC" and "Rag Doll". If you can, buy a copy of the original offering, its got a massive 60 tracks! Having bought 'Tristate' and being blown away by it, I then bought Anjunabeats 3, 4 & 5 and have listened to nothing else since. Of course I bought Anjunabeats 100 which is the perfect compilation of 'out of this world' songs. You won't feel like you've wasted your money buying the other albums because although some of the songs are repeated, each cd is such an experience to listen to and mixed so expertly that you'll just want them allllllll!!

Black is the colours - Awesome!
No one on earth - have honestly listened to this song on an almost daily basis since I discoverd it.
Satellite - Just sublime
Razorfish - timeless.
Air for life - brilliant.
