As a new convert to NS I was intrigued as to what I would find on here.
I was pleasantly surprised at the content and there are a few tracks that have already become real favourites.
For me the standout track has to be the hair-raising Al Kent:The way you've been acting. Whilst this is a brilliant track unfortunately it does suffer from being a copy from a record and there is some distortion on the left channel and some of the other tracks are similarly from records and not the original master tape. Still I would rather have them that way than not at all.
All in all a bargain at £3.39 at a large supermarket chain at time of writing.

This is my favourite film soundtrack of the last few years. Every song is brilliant, and relates well to the story and film.
The music chosen for this soundtrack is a mix of pop, rock and alternative, with a couple of highly popular UK artists (Paolo Nutini & James Blunt) even making it onto the CD.
My personal favourite is 'Last Train Home' by Ryan Star. I also like 'More Time' by NeedToBreathe, and 'If I Ever Leave This World Alive' by Flogging Molly.
It's the perfect companion to the movie - or even the book - if you haven't yet seen the big screen adaptation.

A brave move to set a period film against the backdrop of a very modern soundtrack, but in this case, it works, and very well too.
Fans of the movie will love this soundtrack, but it's also just a great CD, one that should be a staple of any collection. The clever reworkings of so many old hits, El Tango de Roxanne in particular, give a new flavour to the tracks and help to up the kitsch value of the movie. Although it was a huge worldwide hit, it was certainly quirkier than most of your five-star movies, and the soundtrack is exactly the same.
The Elephant Love Medley is a sparkling blend of too many songs to count, but you'll have fun trying to name them all, if you're not too caught up in just how wonderful Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman ... Read More:

Um, my wife bought me this, the Edge Of The 70's and the Mix Tape one for our wedding anniversary this week, mainly due to being of a certain age, I guess, oh and having a massive obscure 80's music collection - I've been collecting since 1978 when I was 12.
I must say a lot of the tracks on this CD are hardly "on the edge" - Tears For Fears? Visage? Landscape? The Cure? Ultravox's "Vienna"? However, there are some surprising cuts on here. It's nice to see that B-Movie finally get on one of these complilations, hopefully Steve Hovington and the boys can finally make a bit of money. They were one of the truly great "undiscovered" bands of the new romantic era. That's the thing with the 80's for every Thompson Twins, Duran Duran and Tears For Fears ... Read More:

I'll be honest - this won't be an unbiased review. I'm guessing that most people who will purchase/consider purchasing this will be fans of Scrubs, so I am reviewing it from this perspective. I am a Scrubs fanatic, and, like the rest of my kind, I know how impressive the soundtrack has been over the years. This CD is a good collection of those songs.
Obviously, the more well-known artists wouldn't have wanted their songs on this, as they are high-profile in their own right (eg/ Boston, Toto). However, Scrubs has always been a source of exciting new music for me (I don't know if the music is popular in the USA, but its certainly always been new to me). They way the songs are involved in and complement the storyline is one of the things that sets Scrubs apart ... Read More:

This is even better than the first soundtrack and i love every single song. Very pleased to see Bethany's Halo on here, that girl needs to release an album of her own soon. Other highlights are songs by Nada Surf, Jacks Mannequin and Fall Out Boy, who all have guest starred in One Tree Hill. My personal favourite would be recurring guest star Tyler Hiltons cover of 'Missing you', it is truly amazing and i am now a great fan of Tyler Hilton based purely on his efforts in this series as he isn't well known in the UK.
