I found this box set on tv and bought it the next day. It has been really good listening to all the old 80's tracks. It is full of all those tracks you hear on the radio and recognise and miss hearing. My daughter will not admit to listening to what she describes as 'wrinkly songs' but it is amusing to hear her sing along.
Well worth buying if you enjoy listening to songs with real catchy lyrics that are easy to understand

I suppose that the problem with most compilation albums is that they just won't feature all the tracks that you would like them to. This album is no exception although there are a lot of very good tracks,indeed some of them are absolute classics.

It may come as a surprise to find that there aren't any tracks at all from one of the very biggest groups of the 70s,namely Slade but maybe that is because they wouldn't agree to release their tracks for this CD. Artist's on this CD include David Bowie,Queen,The Hollies and John Lennon so there are many big names featured. I would have preferred a lot more tracks from the period that I actually liked such as 'This Flight Tonight','Silver Machine' and 'Focus' but you can't have everything. ... Read More:

Together with 50 songs and nursery rhymes on the first disc (CD) disc 2 (which is a DVD) has classic childrens stories, learning rhymes, action songs and learning games.
We use the CD mostly in the car but it's the DVD which gets the most play in our house - the Action Songs are my little ones favorite (I'm a little teapot, Mulberry Bush and Ring Of Roses are firm favs).
For the first few times my toddler simply sat a watched but after that she couldn't help but join in, and she loves to dance and move to the actions that the boys & girls do on screen.

We were given this as a gift when our daughter was born but we only introduced her to it at around 11 months old. Now she is 2 and it is the most played DVD in our ... Read More:

What an excellent idea to create a northern soul "mecca" around the clubs which gave it birth!. All of these hallowed names now so familiar to those who loved the music and the scene and which are in no small way totally responsible for its success both then and again now.

Born in 1963 I was not considered old enough to go to the all dayers and all nighters of that time. i would first like to agree with the person who wrote the feedback/reveiw number 6 how can you have a cd from the 80s without micheal jackson? micheal ruled the 80s no - one was even close to the king of pop. i think they should take the cd back and seriosuly consider putting a jackson classic on it.
