Libertad Amazing Album from velvet revolver,is it as good as contraband? Yes. i think it is,Libertad may not be every ones cup of tea,but open your ears and heart.Because we have been treated to two different amazing albums by a great band.good luck to scott your a fantastic vocalist.

I bought this with enough of an open mind to not expect it to be GnR Mark 2(000?). Unfortunately I was correct; this is a poor album. As happens on Amazon, I feel I must take issue with so many five star reviews of frankly mediocre and dull offerings. Many customers like me used to buy on the stength of these reviews. If there is only one two star review out of a hundred; read it and believe it. Five stars should be reserved for timeless masterpieces.
The production quality is poor, the vocals are very weak and most crucially, the songs are dull and completely unmemorable. It seems that the much maligned Axl Rose may have been the creative influence in GnR by a substantial margin. Was Slash overrated from his time in GnR? It seems so from ... Read More:

I've just been introduced to Velvet Revolver and I think they are the best new hard rock/metal band I've heard for years. This follow-up album to Contraband is really exciting, and maintains the brilliant start given by Contraband. Keep 'em coming.

This is my 3rd fav album ever behind appetite and use your illusions 1. If you listen to something once then decided if you like it or not then its not for you as it is a grower and i kept coming back to it until i loved every track.

There are three good songs on this Single/EP including the wonderful Psycho Killer cover and two songs from Libertad. But Amazon is listing this as having 5 tracks whilst actually it has three music tracks and two CD video tracks.

I'm giving this fantastic album 5 stars which is an insult it deserves 10 stars. Every Track kicks some serious rock n' roll ass. Its amazing how somethings just gel so well. W.Axl.Rose was a FOOL to lose these guys who were the backbone and fountain of the world's most dangerous and exciting band. I know it is too early to say but This is possibly VELVET REVOLVERS' "Appetite for Destruction" but with a harder edge thats my personal opinion. Believe me listen to it, It will change your attitude to Rock N' Roll. There have been some great rock albums in the last ten years but this is by far my favourite, oh fuck it just listen to it as loud as you can. This revolver has 14 serious rock n roll bullets that will go straight to your rock n roll heart.

This is great rock music. Slash rips on the guitar in his usual fantastic style. The songs and lyrics are superb. This band has such a great feel to them, I can't wait for the next installment. This is highly recommended whether you're a fan of Guns and Roses or not, as it's just brilliant rock music. Turn your stereo up loud, put on this album and let the good times roll!

Yes, that's right. This vinyl single features 'Slither' and 'Set Me Free', the two best songs from Velvet Revolver's highly anticipated album 'Contraband'.
'Slither' is an epic metal one finger salute to pop artists, while 'Set Me Free' is just ridiculously addictive. The latter really is one of the best songs I've heard - and I own Minor Threat's complete discography!
Buy this now, its collectors value goes through the roof.
