This is a great buy and must have for any Wets fans and also those of you who think that the only Wets song out there is 'Love is all around'.......both CD's show the lads at their best though the years up to 7 years ago and includes 3 fantastic new songs - if you want to hear the other 2 new songs then you wanna buy both versions of the 'All I Want' CD singles.

Timeless

This is still Wet Wet Wet & I think if you give it a listen you can hear just how they have matured as a band over the years. The best songs are I"n Every Heart (A Fire Burns)", "Weightless", "Too Many People" and "Heaven" in my opinion. Marti's voice is still just as good as it used to be, if not better! This is a good album but its even better live - definitely buy one of the live albums with it.

Popped in Souled Out

If you want to know just how good mainstream 80's British pop music was buy this. The word brilliant doesn't even adequately sum up just how great this album is. Seriously, five stars is not enough, but because I can't give it more it will have to do.

Holding Back the River

If you want to know just how good mainstream 80's British pop music was buy this. The word brilliant doesn't even adequately sum up just how great this album is. Seriously, five stars is not enough, but because I can't give it more it will have to do.

High on the Happy Side

'Wet Wet, Wet's' album material has never been very impressive, (re 'Popped In...Souled Out') however, this is a very 'average', but 'nice' and listenable album from them.

The best single from this 'Make It Tonight' in fact did the least best in terms of chart placings; reaching only number 37. The big single from this album 'Goodnight Girl' went to number one for a massive six weeks, but it is worth noting that this was when single sales were at an all-time low, and many tunes were reaching much higher chart placings than the same songs would have done just a few years earlier.

I suspect the beautiful and inspirational artwork helped sell this CD.

This album has 'the song' on it. You know, the one that spent 15 weeks at number one before the band requested for it to be removed from the shops. Have you guessed yet? Love Is All Around, of course, from the film Four Weddings And A Funeral. A masterpiece in songwriting, even though Wet Wet Wet didn't write it themselves.

Along with their most successful song ever, The Wets have included a 11 eleven equally exceptional tunes. These include Julia Says, the follow up to Love Is All Around, the sing-alongable one, After The Love Goes, Somewhere Somehow, the beautiful ballad and She Might Never Know the funky, boppy, jazzy, pop song. Out of all of them, She Might Never Know has to be my favourite.
