Yanni is one of modern instrumental music's most distinctive and popular composers. Yanni moved to the USA in 1972 where he attended the University of Minnesota, pursuing a degree in psychology while also playing with rock band Chameleon. My Spirit Is Exalted Everytime I hear and watch the Video and listen to such magnificence. I feel so many people are missing out on such a moving, perhaps, life changing recording. The television documentary, narrated by Christopher Plumber is Brilliant. It is included at the end of the Tribute Video. Just proves what power one man can do with his Music.

I had the privilege of attending an awesome Yanni Live concert in Florida in 2005. The concert contains old and new Yanni compositions but each musician, in Yanni's orchestra, is wonderfully talented and gives their own individual interpretation to Yanni's inique music.This CD leaves you feeling uplifted and energised and I'm looking forward to the future because now Yanni has teamed up with award winning producer Ric Wake so there is an exciting future ahead for all Yanni fans.

Reflections of Passion

I heard this years ago but having bought it recently I feel that it hasn't really stood the test of time that well and I don't find I enjoy it as much as when I first heard it. It is good either in the background or played at full throttle with some great tunes throughout and I would generally descibe it as 'inspirational' - it would certainly give you a lift on a bad day. Generally syntheseized or piano arrangements and a bit formulaic and repetitive at times. It seems to me that Yanni hit on a good formula and stuck with it so I don't find a lot of variation. It is though well worth a listen - I would consider buying his more recent albums based on this earlier work.
