So when i noticed the album advertised on the TV, i was straight down the nearest music shop to pick up a copy. However getting home and placing the first disc into the CD player, i was not over impressed. I like garage, but for some reason i just did not get the buzz that came from the original. Yes the tunes were there and definitely too was the bass, but the rhythms were not so much break beats and long pulsing bass lines. . Pure Garage Presents: Bass, Breaks & Beatsby: DJ EZ (mixed live by) Release Date December 03, 2001 Best of the Pure Garage series in my opinion. CD1 is a bit hit and miss but CD2 more than makes up for it. The usual EZ mixing (goood) and sick selection - highlights of which are 'Decoy', 'Danger', and 'G.A.R.A.G.E.'. MC Kie also features, to give a bit of a rave feel without overdoing it with the chats. If there's one Garage mix compilation you should get, then get this. |
