The tracks that stand out as 'chilled' music are great!
Not enough of them. Many fillers, some i hadn't heard before, and for good reason, they either were not 'chilled' music or/and not easy to listen to at all. This really should be 2 discs, and be done with the unknown and unchilled.

One of the most boring albums I've heard recently, as a fan of 'Dummy' this bears little resemblance to what was an amazing sound with amazing vocals. Here the music sounds old and tired, the vocals are nowhere near as impressive and it greatly disappointed me that only one track (magic doors) comes anywhere near to the brilliance of 'Dummy'.
Every other track on this album is monotonous and a waste of time - but hey perhaps you'll like it! For me I can think of many other groups who still push the boundaries and make interesting tunes while Portishead wallow in this dreary depressing rubbish that doesn't even compare to their debut from ten years ago(?)

This album is fantastic. no song is bad. pendulum have changed direction and it works a treat. the drum n bass is still there but not as much, however the new rock in it is BRILLIANT. The vocals are decent, but its the riffs and the drums which make it. the drops and bass lines are tremendous, and the album is so full of energy. The best songs are:

Showdown - The best song on the album. Big drums in the background power the song and an immense bass line on top of it. a break in the middle, and in insane drop leads it back in. the guitar work is also amazing. 10/10

Yes, of course, most album reviews on Amazon are positive, and much of the rest are from people crying 'sell out'.

Well, for what 42 years on the planet and a first ever Amazon review are worth, this is one of those very very rare albums that takes music to a new level, that even on first listening you know will live on, not necessarily defining an era, but being forever known and rediscovered. It's that good.

With the possible exception of 'Caravan Girls', nothing on this album is weak or forced - it experiments, disturbs and delights whilst at all times demonstrating an utter mastery of the craft of beautiful song writing. This is not the original album. Three of the best tracks have been removed (Into the Jungle, Ocean Blue and The Hours) and replaced with sloppy generic synth-pop dribble (Gogo, Public Image and Touch me touching you). Get your hands on the original. Its much better than this one.

This album caught my attention because Amazon put it in my recommended buys and I immediately loved the cover. On impulse, despite having heard nothing about or by Santogold I bought it and was not disappointed (my favourite impulse buy to date). The record is a mix of sounds that I am unable to accurately categorize though my best attempt would put it between modern R&B and Electronic influenced pop (dirtier though). There is the modern R&B cockiness found in the lyrics of songs like "Unstoppable" and "Creator": "me I'm a creator/ thrill is to make it up/ the rules I break got me a place/ up on the radar." Faultless compilation and the best I've heard from Hed Kandi for a while, CD2 is in my opinion outstanding with not too many obvious tunes but well programmed and full-on and funky you can't go wrong with this one "Buy it"!

This a fantastic dnce/disco album all the tracks on this album are upbeat and groovy my favorite tracks on this album are rain down love love on my mind when you touch me and uninvited overall it's a 10/10 from me this is a must buy!
