I had heard the track "Channel One Suite" before (on Solid Steel) but I never knew what it was, so it was a nice surprise to find it on here. It's an accessible tune, but is nice and complicated. Some of the other tracks are a bit inaccessible, others are really brilliant. Lovely drums, nice and loud and gritty. "Night of the Iguana" is a real classic, meandering drums, evocative and atmospheric strings. Sometimes I find the odd time signatures a bit confusing and jarring though, and it makes it harder to keep up and appreciate the atmospheres being created. Mixed bag for me.

If there was a 'problem' with the original New Forms it was that although it opened a lot of new doors for the drum'n'bassy side of electronic music, it rarely if ever broke out into full-on actual drum'n'bass. It was more jazzy and abstract, often having stretches of build up that would lead into more build up, then kind of nothing... These new 're-licks' are effectively VIP remixes of the originals and they all sound designed for the dancefloor, rather than the headphones/beard-stroking room. For example 'Brown Paper Bag' is transformed from a monolithic 9-minute prog-jazz freakout, to 4 minutes of punchy jump-up (complete with an MC), but it still retains its weird, dark edginess. one of the best albums I have ever heard, from start to finish amazing!
Catch has got to be one of the best songs ever written.
I have to also state for the record they do not dissapoint live, they are excellent, so if you ever get the chance to see them live please go, you will not be angry you went.

I thought the previous album "in the mode" had good ideas going on but it all sound too forced and pressured to me. This however is more calm, controlled and allows the jazzy/bassy style of r.s to show through better, rather than being pasted over by skittish beats which trashed "in the mode" to pieces. Obviously that does get you press attention but also ruins what r.s is best at. But now he has made the album that was trying to creep through previously.

Just go straight ahead and buy this if you have heard and liked brown paper bag which you should because it is one of the best d&b tunes of all time!

Mr. Logistics had quite a lot to live up to after Now More Than Ever, an album so blinding that it hurts when I don't listen to it. When I first heard Reality Checkpoint, I didn't know what to think of it. Then again, I thought exactly the same when I first heard Now More Than Ever. After a few listens I was not only hooked, but completely in awe at what Logistics has managed to achieve. This album has a production quality that is, in my opinion, at the top of the league of DnB. Couple that with some great bass lines and the result is an album that can't have enough stars put next to it. Logistics has taken it, excuse the cliche, to the next level.

CD1 isn't for me and found myself skipping, however CD2 is just what I have been looking for and makes the purchase worth it. It is just like putting on a mix tape with tunes coming in and out and giving you just a taster to get you going. DO NOT SKIP as you'll miss stuff. I went on a long drive and this was the soundtrack to my journey and I was rocking in my car and kept getting a buzz out of recognising the next tune coming in. Tons of old classics that if you are from the old days you will be very pleased to hear. I haven't heard these tunes for ages and I now want to order loads of copies as my friends must hear this. Love it and it will take a very high place in my collection.

well what to say about this cd?
when i first got this cd i had only heard the song angelica before which i absolutely loved so much it made me buy the greatest hits.
when i first bought this album it took some listening to to get used to, but my god now it is one of my favourite cds, i can listen to this cd again and again. all the songs are so different in pace and melody, some songs been just in a state of pure idilic ecstacy while others have eclectic beats to rock youre socks off mostly having the very haunting vocals of the female singer, and ill tell you now her vocals are soomething else, very nice to listen to.

High Contrasts best album to date from start to finish every single song is amazing! Havin beeen brought up on d n b for years, high contrast is a fresh sound and is still sounding as fresh as ever on this his thurd album, with his liquid funk style of d n b total legend!

Probably one of the best dubstep compilations out there at this time.

Caspa and Rusko take you on a journey through some of the less heard of dubstep, with mostly their own tracks, but broken up with the tracks from the likes of such DJs as Cotti and Coki. Saying that it is not strictly dubstep, it does speed up a bit towards the end and the trance and garage influences are very apparent in some of the beginning and end songs.

I have given this 5 stars because not only do i love this album deeply, almost everyone i have played it too has gone on to buy it. The popularity is such that i went to a party last week and the DJ was playing a lot of tracks of this album!
