perfect album, but I'm hopng the reason they omitted some of the other great songs from the series is because they are planning a second album (probably at the end of the next series so it'll be a long way off).
Notable exclusions being - 'If you're in to it', 'Frodo, dont wear the ring', 'song for sally' and 'doggy bounce'. You can pick a couple of these tracks up on the 'Distant Future' EP.
Still, this album is fantastic and will have you laughing to yourself on the train all the way to the office.

High School Musical is being talked about by teenager's everywhere, so I was determined to see what it was like. I asked someone I knew (who is obsessed with it) If I could borrow their copy of the soundtrack - And now I wish I hadn't. For staters the actual music is just over-used up beat dance tracks. With some weak mordern R and B thrown in. The things kicks of with a song entitled "Start of Something New". The song is merely just a badly written, horribly sang pop song. The vocals are very poor, there are signs of lack of emotion (in all the tracks). The second one, which is more of an R and B tune, is well irritating. The whole trainers squeeking in the back ground is simply annoying beyond beliefe. The "Gota getcha getcha getcha head ... Read More:

All i say is that this is quite possibly the most perfect, surreal movie ever created. Me and my friend Stephen Kane sat and watched it seven times and never got bored. We know all the songs and the words "What time is iiiitt??"

This CD is very relaxing. The songs go deep to your soul, and sound so familiar for some reason. Anyway they're fantastic and I'm listening to them right now, not for the first time. Just thought I'd add another five star review to the bunch because this CD deserves it.

I wasn't keen on Adiemus, and wasn't expecting to like this, though I had heard bits on classic fm that grabbed my attention (while working with the radio on).
However, I do find this enjoyable from start to finish, skipping over the muezzin's prayer (which I could hear out my window in certain locales). Maybe it is not complex, but there are surprising moments and there is plenty of passion throughout.
Obviously this is something that splits opinion, so I must be a prole. Yes, I even like Andrew Lloyd Webber at times. But then I also listen to Arvo Part, to Tavener and others in abundance, alongside the likes of Ali Farka Toure and Santana (in his prime), so... I consider myself to be without baggage but not without ears. ... Read More:

It's great and cheerful and our one year old daughter loves dancing to it. It also is the kind of CD that does not drive the parents insane when listening to it again and again. I thoroughly recommend it.

I brought this to listen to while meditating. The music is lovely and relaxing it is also nice to listen to while doing the housework. It is a great CD.

The first thing that strikes me about this album is how balanced it is: it actually sounds like an "album" as opposed to just a collection of songs.
Musically, it's very inventive and very interesting to listen to. The guys are great musicians, and this opens up into something a little bit more experimental (eg the loops on "All God's Children"), and builds on the general concept of "Our God Reigns" from "The Mission Bell".
Excellent, and continues the growth of the band from "World Service" and "The Mission Bell". Standout tracks (for me) are "Give What You've Got", "Love Will Find A Way" and "How Sweet the Sound" which is slow without being boring, and has very deep lyrics: "Jesus - how sweet the name, the name that saves". ... The programme is surely set to become as classic as Camberwick Green, Bagpuss, etc. The whole package is just perfect, lovely characters, visually beautiful and great music. The CD is brilliant - like an extended episode with all the familiar individual character songs, Derek Jacobi's lovely narration, the regular bits (intro/closing theme, the Tittifers, the dance number that they all do and choice bits from various episodes. My 18 month old son and I listen to it in the car all the time and he does the actions and loves joining in on the big dance number! And ok, I have to admit it - I have it on my iPod too ;) Absolutely charming - can't recommend it enough.
