Don't listen too closely to the above reviews. I am also a huge M.Rev fan and was nervous about buying this release. However, after only a couple of listens I am glad to say that I love this album already. OK, it's quite different to their previous work, but is as unique as is every one of their albums. So get it, listen and absorb. It's gorgeous.

Couldnt really be bothered with another beck album boring me to sleep none the less i was given this cd as a gift and well..............what a surprise! each song flows into the other like sweating cheese and before you know it your putting it on again and again and ag.... you get the drift if you like your chedder seriously sweaty then buy this it is MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

I really want to like it. It's ingenious and marvellous and at the time I'm sure it was groundbreaking. But though I love Abbey Road, I can't say the same for this. I was genuinely disappointed.

i like this compilation as it contains most of pink floyd's classics. i'm not a big fan of them but my favorite songs are the two 1980s hits learning to fly and sorrow. then comes another brick in the wall, money, wish you were here and shine on you crazy diamond which i like better on the wish you were here album. but for classic rock fans, this is a must have!

Nowadays critical consensus often ranks this as The Beatles' best album, and indeed one of the best albums ever made. While it's only my second favourite by them personally (The White Album being first), this is still one of the greatest albums I own.

Revolver is the point where The Beatles ceased to be a pop group and became something else entirely. Shortly after its release they gave up touring, having tired of performing to screaming fans when they'd much rather be holed away in a recording studio making new music. This also allowed them to be more experimental, recording sounds that could never have been recreated in stadiums and arenas at the time. I am 17 year old and i'm a massive fan of heavy metal, I love most types of music from Heavy Metal to Blues to abit of Indie to Instrumental rock and all types of rock from 60s 70s and 80s. 2 of my friends who have similar taste in music as me really like Eric Clapton so I checked his greatest hits and that was brilliant. Then I decided to start my Cream selection and bought this and i love it.

This awesome rock/blues album was made famous by the song Sunshine Of Your Love, which is a brilliant song but there is more to this album then that song. The best song for me here is World Of Pain it's amazing and the vocals on this album are brilliant. In conclusion, this album is brilliant and should any music lovers collection whatever music you like buy it.

So here it is - the best selling songs from the best selling band ever. The idea behind this compilation is that all the songs were Number One singles either in the UK or US. Sounds fairly simple, but in fact browsing the negative reviews on here shows many people complaining about this CD. Main criticisms are either that a Beatles greatest hits isn't necessary because people ought to buy the individual albums, or moans about certain tracks being omitted (Strawberry Fields Forever has been mentioned a lot - yes it might very well be the Beatles' best single but it didn't reach No. 1).

While it is true that the Beatles are a band best bought album-by-album, this is a great purchase for newbies or people with a casual interest in this legendary band. I own most of their albums, yet still play 1 often, ... Read More:

I've never been one for the jazz themed white noise thrashouts so beloved of Mr Pierce, but always loved the droney cathedral rock of his earlier days (which I appreciate is just as unmusical to some ears - I absolutely love Pure Phase). Ladies and Gentlemen is undoubtedly his masterpiece (jazz themed white noise thrashouts notwithstanding), but why oh why did I not buy a second copy and keep the first fresh in its pill box?

Anyway, post L&G the work declined. Some decent stuff on Let it come down, but I didn't bother with Amazing Grace. This is a return to form. I agree wholeheartedly with the reviewer who said he might need a bit more inspiration when it comes to song titles, but the songs and music are back. I cannot stop listening to Death Take Your Fiddle and Baby I'm Just a Fool.
