the album is definitely better than the show, which in my opinion is just a big panto, idina menzel thankfully sounds better on the album than she ever did on stage in london, kerry ellis showed how it should be done, and i think they should release the london cast version, if you want camp cheesy songs that are badly edited then buy the album, but after youve seen the show you will realise that the album misses some very important plotlines, and songs dont make as much sense as they do when you see the show,

A timeless album... I bought it for the song by Sarah McLachlan (Angel) and it was worth it for that one track which is so beautiful that it never fails to make me stop and stare. The rest of the album follows suit, particularly Peter Gabriel (I Grieve). If you like music to think to, this is for you.

This CD is great but not top notch there are a few bits of music missing the interview with the music writers is a rare insight to what they do and what can happen.
Most of the songs are here but some aren't but it is still enjoyable CD and the interview is a nice extra there is another Mary Poppins CD out there which has every bit of music on it.

I bought this cd because Amazon offered it as a double deal for under a tenner! I loved the last song - Somewhere over the Rainbow and thought why not treat yourself to it, it costs nothing! Anyway,it is such a beautiful collection and I totally love it. Very relaxing to listen to but in no way boring, it lulls you, then teases you, then absorbs you - superb. I think it allows you to have a glass of wine and ponder or as I just did peel the potatoes and ponder!!! There's more than one gem on this cd - it is a collection of gems. Treat yourself!

I purchased these CDs individually as and when they were originally released. I have to say that the Fellowship of the Ring is my favourite, by the way. However, I also bought the extremely deluxe 4 disc (or in the case of ROTK, 5 disc) sets when the 'complete' scores were released (also worth buying, despite their price). One thing the 'complete' scores don't have is the first track from FOTR - "The Prophecy" (though parts of it exist in the 'complete' score). If you're a soundtrack enthusiast, then small variations or alternate takes presented here in the 'limited' 1-disc releases will interest you. In The Two Towers, for example, you here different mixes and end of cues not heard in the 'complete' scores, the same stands for Return of the King. ... Read More:

This product description is wrong. The track 19 "Still Here" that is listed in the product description does not exist. There are only 18 tracks on this CD. This is identical to the US soundtrack, thus rumors of the two versions being different are false.

This is a typical Rocky soundtrack, with every single track on the entire CD being a butchered remix that sounds nothing like the one that appeared in the movie. Every Rocky soundtrack to date has been like this. The Rocky 4 songs sound terrible as usual. You have dialog mixed into the audio tracks, so you get to listen to Rocky's voice every single time. Cringe-worthy.

When are they going to come out with a Rocky soundtrack that is NOT a "remixed" or "arranged" version?

This is the soundtrack of one of the best and most memorable films I have seen this year. The CD is a wondeful reminder of the beauty of Piafs singing, Cant wait for the DVD to come out if you can see ther Film It contains all the songs from the film except the French National Anthem sung while a child which I owuld have liked on there, there are many other titles that are not by Paif but nset the scene of her life.
