Delicate sounds; perfect for sitting in the sunshine with a glass of wine. This arrived on Friday - and I have not stopped listening to it... Kinya Dawson's lyrics are amazing. Highly recommended.

High School Musical is being talked about by teenager's everywhere, so I was determined to see what it was like. I asked someone I knew (who is obsessed with it) If I could borrow their copy of the soundtrack - And now I wish I hadn't. For staters the actual music is just over-used up beat dance tracks. With some weak mordern R and B thrown in. The things kicks of with a song entitled "Start of Something New". The song is merely just a badly written, horribly sang pop song. The vocals are very poor, there are signs of lack of emotion (in all the tracks). The second one, which is more of an R and B tune, is well irritating. the album is definitely better than the show, which in my opinion is just a big panto, idina menzel thankfully sounds better on the album than she ever did on stage in london, kerry ellis showed how it should be done, and i think they should release the london cast version, if you want camp cheesy songs that are badly edited then buy the album, but after youve seen the show you will realise that the album misses some very important plotlines, and songs dont make as much sense as they do when you see the show,

All i say is that this is quite possibly the most perfect, surreal movie ever created. Me and my friend Stephen Kane sat and watched it seven times and never got bored. We know all the songs and the words "What time is iiiitt??"

I 100% recommend this movie, it made my life.

I love this CD. I bought it after seeing the musical because I enjoyed the musical so much and wanted something from the show that I could play time and time again.
This is amazing, just as amazing as the show. I can play it from start to finish without wanting to skip any of the tracks.
The vocals/singers on this CD aren't as good as the singer who I saw but it is still a good CD to listen to especially if you have been to see the show and have enjoyed it.
This will certainly be played time and time again because it is a great CD.

This album is highly recommended to people that enjoy Urban music with that added extra energy. I heard a few of the tracks before the album came out and I was loving all of them. After watching the film - I just had to get the album, all of the tracks are very good. However, there were a few tracks missing, which I thought should've been on the album such as Timbaland - Bounce (I have his album so that was ok) and Swizz Beatz - Money in the Bank (both featured in the final dance scene).

The tracks that stood out for me were Flo Rida's Low, Missy's Ching-a-Ling, Cherish's Killa, T-Pain's Church, Plies - Hypnotize and KC's Say Cheese. The rest of the tracks are great and you will definately enjoy the album.

I've always loved the film Oliver! especially singing along with the musical numbers in the film. So recently I purchased the CD soundtrack.

I already love the songs so there's no issue there but the songs are cut from what is heard in the film. This disapointed me which is why i've only given it three stars.

This is the best album I have purchased in yeras. The movie was great and the soundtrack is spectacular. Your kids will love it. Hairspray is the must see musical. If you like Grease you will love Hairspray.!
