Fantastic new album from the Wonderful Black Keys. If you've never heard them before I can highly recommend them if you like Blues, Classic Rock but with a modern twist, similar but better (yes better) than the White Stripes. I agree with some of the other reviewers that it's more polished than previous outing but I don't mind this. Check out their back catalouge now!

Yup. It's Good. Very, very good in fact.

Genre-fretters have long been out to pin this fine little combo down.

Three albums in however and what we have here in essence
are twelve splendidly energetic pop songs.

The pared-down, edgy simplicity which has become
Mr Hince's and Ms Mosshart's calling card belies a finely
honed ability to create catchy and memorable material
of the finest calibre from the simplest musical building blocks.

'Getting Down' must surely have the ghost of Mr Bolan smiling in the wings.

This was the first album I bought by the "Yeah Yeah Yeahs". It is a great album with a difined mixture between the tracks. Some are full of energy and others are very emotional. All in all it is a great album and covinced me to buy the other albums of thiers.

Fell in love from the first note. Beth has an amazing voice which really shines out on the track "Coal to Diamonds". Definetly a buy!

this album is timeless .this can be said of very few albums,(depending on your personal choice of course).as someone who saw early clash, birthday party and p j harvey gigs the kills two albums,keep on your mean side and no wow deserve anybodys time.the power and understated rawness always keeps you on edge,waiting for the next chord,bellow or bang.it will always entertain and it keeps me feeling young.fu@@ing great stuff.should have done this years ago.Bothered ?

Thickfreakness

Raw, tough, fiery and polished. This album has to be one of the best around for all of these things. If you're into Led Zepp, Hendrix, 70s blues rock etc then this has to be in your collection. Not that the Black Keys sound the same as any of these people/groups mentioned, they've got a sound and a style of their own. But it's a good bet that if you feel music in your bones from that bunch then this duo with their stripped down sound and ferocious tunes will get to you in the same way.

Tyrannosaurus Hives

The Hives are a great-looking band, don't you think? All sharp white suits and slick hair, coupled with them having a token fat guy and a bass player who looks a bit like a less successful Ron Jeremy. They have names like Dr. Matt Destruction and Chris Dangerous too! What's not to love? This band is definitely one of the surprises I've encountered during a revisiting of the albums I used to dig a few years back. It's held up amazingly well, even if they do sometimes come across as a more-polished/less-influential Swedish version of Minor Threat.

Good stuff.

WTF! this is the most shocking and awfull waste of money ever. "Death Metal" yeah right. it's just some nob singing in a high pitched voice about wanting a man hard. this is terrible and awfull. just don't buy it if you appreciate music that has integrity and is well written this is a total joke. At least you could buy queens of the stone age. god, it makes me so angry to think that people might think this is real rock music. GROW UP AND LISTEN TO SOMETHING DECENT!

All hail King Khan. This is without doubt, the finest musical experience I've had since me and a friend broke into my dad's garage one night and played, at extreme volume, 'Hound Dog' by Elvis Presley, repeatedly well past the night and into the morning. King Khan exhibits all the hallmarks to belong in such esteemed company as well, he has the charisma, the flair and most importantly, the supreme genius.

King Khan hails from Montreal, but he relocated to Berlin, where he formed this superb group. Coming across like Little Richard fronting The Stooges (how can that possibly be bad????), this album has a sound which is becoming rarer in this age of pro-tools and digital recording.
