'International superhits', (like most bands best of's), is probably the best place to start with Green Day if you're new to their music and want to hear more. You get a pretty good selection of their hits, as well as some more obscure stuff. At 21 tracks, this album has plenty to offer and I defy anyone to put on 'Basket Case' or 'When I Come Around' and not crack into a big grin. This album showcases what a good rock band should be, simple, loud and fun. You can't ask for much more than that. Well worth a try.

Dookie

This is my favourite Green Day album to date, it is very closely followed by their most recent one, American Idiot. This album is filled with extremely catchy songs and once you hear them a few times, you will feel the urge to sing along as loudly as you can.

There are so many great songs and I don't actually have a favourite, and they are all great. If you want to buy a Green Day album, this is the album to buy, I highly recommend it.

All Killer, No Filler

I am a fan of sum 41 and this isnt really Sum 41. They started of as a Punk band(Half Hour Of power), and then started of doing Pop -Punk. I still think this a great album all the songs are great well written and some very good guitar solos, but they sound very similar to Blink 182. The reviewer below me saying it's a boy band with guitar i wouldnt blame him from just hearing this album i recommend everyone just getting into Sum 41 buy their debut Half Hour Of Power, Does This Look Infected & Chuck those albums are what sum 41 are all about good old rock. This is great but other stuff by sum 41 is better.

but why buy this you may ask? well because it is about the best and rarest blink 182 album you will get your hands on i got into blink by buying greatest hits because i love punk (sex pistols r cool) which i never regreted and then i saw this under new and used section and was blown away by the qaulity not one note is out of tune or pitch or anything like that but my favourite song is the studio recording of man overboard on the live album that song rocks i also like the loads of funny chatter from tom delogne and mark hoppus travis drumming as good as ever amust buy you won't regret it i know i havent

Enema Of The State

i got this when i was at university and for that i will always hold a special place in my heart for it,its blink 182 at their most anthemic,most vital and most fun,its an album that is packed with classic after classic,its impossible not to love songs like dumpweed,dont leave me,aliens exist,the aptly titled going away to college,as i was in another country for university,whats my age again and adams song,the remaining songs are all good as well,there isnt really a bad song on here,it isnt life changing music by any means,and of course all the songs tread the formula that nofx helped create but its all good honest fun,who can complain about that?

Bullet in a Bible [CD + DVD]

"Dookie", when it came out, reminded me of early Who, who were a local group where I grew up. After hearing the CD, especially the cover of The Isley Brothers/Lulu's "Shout", in the light of their own "rock opera", "American Idiot", I wonder how they would do "Tommy". It's certainly, to me at least, an interesting proposition. How about it?

Nimrod

This is maybe the perfect pop punk album of all time, most people say they grow out of green day, but I dont care, this still rocks to me. This album got me into songs and playing music when I was 13. Just listen to the first 30 seconds of the first song, how can this not appeal to you?!

This is perfect stuff from start to finish. This was their finest moment, they couldnt top this album and not many pop bands will. Perfect pop punk, great lyrics... its just a shame that most people associate them with the american idiot album now, rather than this classic.

Green day were my ramones!

Insomniac

Wow!! This album is great. It's probably Green Days 3rd best album. It is a really strong album with lots of great songs. '86' being a particualr highlight.

'Geek Stink breath' features an excellent guitar rift and some great singing from Billie Joe. It's an amazing song and one that you won't forget for a long time to come.

'Brat' is a good song that I'm sure some teenagers can relate to(not me!). It is catchy all the way through and has good lyrics. That's what is so great about Green Day - they know how to write good lyrics.

So if you like GREEN DAY, you have got to buy this album!!! It really is amazing.

This album was the 3rd album from the offspring. Ignition was great but didn't get as popular. But as soon as the videos for 'Come Out and Play(Keep 'Em Seperated)' 'Self Esteem' and 'Gotta Get Away' were released they hit big time.
Then Ixnay was amazing. The First 4 Albums were the best and i can't choose between them.
I love the later albums too but they could have done so much better on Conspiracy Of One. Which if i had to choose would be my worst album.
But anything by the offspring is first class and i love them all.

In 2001 Blink released what was their final immature album in 'Take off your pants and jacket'. Then a year later Tom decided that he wanted to write something meaningful, something emotional and something definitely not Blink 182. It is a good job that Tom changed his writing style and wrote this because this may have been the start of the process towards AVA. The emotional and meaningful aspect is evident throughout Blink's final, self-titled album which is a better album than this one. I do think though that up to this point Boxcar racer beats any of the previous Blink material with no problem. Tom has found a more stripped down, indie sound to convey a meaningful attitude.
