Working in a HMV I have a good incite to the music industry and its new and up coming talent, but recently there has been a halt and the amounts of drool albums each week full of talent less artists that has made it in to the u k chart is astounding.
I found this album to be relief from the same old Indie rock or pop trance in the chart. She brings a much-needed new taste back with some slow but also catchy jazzy numbers. Top girl!!!!

After waiting a long while I finally bought this album. It's incredible. As others have said, the music has a 50's and 60's feel but the lyrics and style are bang up-to-date. Amy's voice is incredible. I can't think of a single musician, singer or band better than her today. The album will be remembered as an all time classic. I also just got her previous album (which Amy recently said she didn't like). The style on the previous album is different but it's still brilliant! My favourite tracks on the Back to Black album are 'You Know I'm No Good' and 'Addicted'.

Great album, although halfway through I thought I was listening to Prince!

Not sure where he can go with the next single to top Black & Gold, maybe 21st Century??

Very Electro, Funky, and like I said Prince like!

mariah's voice is stunning!!
"Migrate" with T-Pain is absolutely the best!! It is such a club banger!! Touch my body is not the best song...
"That chick" is a cool disco song. "lovin you long time" is an INSTANT.CLASSIC.
The whole album is!!
None of the songs sound the same!!
I dont see why britain doesnt respect her...?
America does! 18 number 1's!! ROCK ON DARLIN'!!!

Plenty of others have written helpful summaries of the original album 'Frank', so my contribution is to provide a review of the new 'Super Deluxe Edition', packaged as a box set with a new 17-track bonus disc of 'previously unreleased radio sessions, rare demos and mixes'. This new edition is no doubt aimed mainly at dedicated fans, who will already own the album itself; the problem is that dedicated fans will also already own most of the 'rare' songs included here.

Of the tracks featured on the bonus disc, only a handful are genuinely 'new', and all but one have been heard before in some form. Admittedly, that one unheard song - a cover of the Gershwin classic 'Someone to Watch Over Me' - is absolutely gorgeous, truly sounding like it could be ... Read More:

Imagine my surprise when I heard Estelle's new single American Boy; how in the hell did she drag Kanye West into the proceedings...? And then get him to rap about Ribena and WAGS? Little did I know that John Legend had taken a, ahem, shine to Estelle, signed her to his label and the rest is, as they say, history.

And it's a history few would have predicted given her first album's failure (it only scraped the top 40) and dare I say that Estelle herself might never have imagined the day where Mark Lamarr would be replaced by Kanye West in her video's...

I have been a fan of Beths for the last couple of years since she been doing the London circuit and have recently been able to attain a copy of the album.
The album doesnt disapoint but i have to say that the best songs are the same songs she released on her ep. If you want to listen to, in my view, one of the some outstanding voices in resent years buy the album.

This is a great CD, nice mix of music from the new 'it guy' in the music industry. but has anyone else noticed the similarity between the CD itself .. and the shape of bald manc git Karl pilkingtons head??? interesting
