Duffy is probably the best R&B singer to come from these shores in a long long time. This album is phenomenal. Every track seems to accentuates her vocal range. The musicians supporting her are also very worthy of recognition. I particularly like the unique drum tuning on Mercy and the 60's keyboard playing. The tracks themselves vary but are all interesting: but I doubt that anyone could render them as well as she does. This album is one of the best that I have heard for a long time. A definite buy recommendation.

Just seen Amy perform live at Glastonbury and boy is there something special about this woman. Huuuggggeeeee magnestisn and charisma with a touch of the Marilyn Monroe tragedy about her, but what a voice. I'm hooked ;-)
Release Date December 03, 2007
A masterpiece of classic singing in the old style of the 30s with heart braking lyrics that comes together in surely the album of the year.
Amy Winehouse is a tortured soul who falls madly in love, and then gets dumped. Not a happy story, but inspiration for most of her songs. That and drugs feature strongly.
Her emotion is raw, her lyrics are powerful, and her songs are catchy.
Release Date April 28, 2008
I bought this album because I loved 'Black and Gold'. However, I was very disappointed. That track and the first one on the album are the only ones worth listening to. Sam Sparrow whitters on and on throughout the rest of the album and it is real rubbish. Don't waste your money. Sorry Sam, but you have to do better than this.
Release Date June 02, 2008
Ok first off yes this can be seen as a con re-releasing an album but for me i had not bought the original album of Good Girl Gone Bad and im sure others have not either so im going to do a proper review on the album and not saying its a con etc
Ok so whats different about the album you ask? 3 new songs:
Take a bow
Disturbia
If i never see your face again
All amazing songs in my opinion! My fave being Disturbia out of them, great dance song and very catchy i was hooked to it from first listen!
You get 16 songs on this album:
Umbrella:
Lets face it everyone has heard this song with it being number 1 for 10 weeks! Its still a great song but not the best on the album! 8/10

I am astonished that some people have given this album less than 5 stars. This album is without a doubt a step above anything he has ever relased - evident from his lastest release Moving Mountains, which I personally think is one of many excellent tracks on the album. Other favorites are - Before I met you, Appetite, His Mistakes and whats a man to do.
Comparassions with Chris Brown are inevitable, but without grounding. Chris Brown is not in the same league as Usher...have you heard Chris Brown sing live? I have, and I dont want to hear it again...
Anyway, I strongly recommend this album to Ushers fans old and new.

Since the first time I heard Al Green (on "Tired of Being Alone", around 1970) I have regarded him as the paramount Soul man, His partnership with Willie Mitchell in the 70's produced some of the most consistent and superb music of that or any other era, and which came to define Soul for many. Soul went out of fashion around the time Al "retired" to his Memphis church, and he has struggled to reach anything approaching those dizzy heights since his return to secular music.
He is not alone in that. Nor is it unique to hitch up with current star names. There have been many attempts by 60's and 70's artists to recreate their success, and the fact that only a few have pulled it off tells you that it takes more than an up to date who's who. What it does ... Read More:

I was introduced to Amy Winehouse when I finally purchased Back to Black months after the CD had been released. After hearing "You Know I'm No Good" and "Rehab", I still didn't know what to expect from the entire CD, so I decided to wait until a friend of mine finally convinced me to buy it. The CD had an old school feel to it and my favorite tracks ended up being "Back To Black", "Tears Dry On Their Own", "Me & Mrs. Jones", "Love Is A Losing Game" and "Rehab". I was seacrhing for music one day on amazon and I found out that she was
re-relasing a CD that she had previously released overseas in 2003 entitled "Frank".
The CD gets off to a nice start with the track "Stronger Than Me". Amy speaks about a courtship where while she is 7 years younger, ... Read More:
