In short if your looking for the dark, grainy guitar led songs that she wrote up as far as the brilliant "Globe Sessions" you'll be disappointed. On the other hand she's returnded to a more earthy sound, with a bit of a hippy commune vibe.
Personally I'm just glad she's got away from that over produced bubble gum pop-rock commercial rubbish of "c'mon c'mon".

For as long as I've been a Texas fan, I've always thought that they should release a live acoustic album. At last it's here. Not only is it a live album, it's a 2CD set! It covers all of their career from Southside to Careful What You Wish For. I guess Red Book was too recent.
Sharleen has the perect voice for acoustic albums. It's well recommended.

This is the first time I have bought a REM Cd and so far, the tracks I have heard are great. Every song on this album is great.
Release Date March 22, 2002
'Waterloo' is a fantastic ABBA album. All of its songs are simply amazing. My favourites are 'Dance (While The Music Still Goes on)' and 'Gonna Sing You My lovesong.' Allthe others are simply superb as well. ABBA were heading for better success in the future, but still, a fantastically put-together ABBA album. 'Waterloo' is another brilliant masterpiece thats beginning to catch the true meaning of the world of the best pop group of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From a band that only seem to release great albums, 'Aja' is well down the list of Steely Dan's best. What I like about their earlier releases is their blend of styles. 'Aja' is dominated by jazz and funk influences, neither of which are my favoured genres, but the music rewards repeated listening and is beautifully constructed. The title track is, for me, the highlight, its innocuous opening soon drifting into subtle, shifting shades of tonal colour and twinkling keyboards, culminating in a striking closing passage. 'Josie' is the obvious hit item, with a great guitar intro and a solid groove. 'Peg' is the other more overtly commercial item, the remaining tracks being more like the title track in approach.' Not the most instant album, and, as usual, lyrically challenging, ... Read More:

one of the most overrated albums ever, not much that's memorable about it, good impression of jangly Byrds style 60's pop, couple of good songs, lots of attitude, nothing much more.
Release Date February 26, 2007
This 3 CD boxset is crammed full of the greatest hits from the best decade of music --- the 80s!
It makes for a good introduction for anyone who dosen't already own an 80s comp or just for those who want to relive the music.
I wouldn't say that this is the best set to buy on the market, many of the biggest hit singles of the decade haven't been included but all the same, there's enough good songs by some great artists to keep the customer happy.
Recommened!

Just to get more precise about figures:
BIA was certified 9 times platinum in the US alone (without counting Canada or latin America), which means it sold 9 million there.
It sold over 14 million in Europe. (with 4 million in the UK alone - certified in 2000, 2 million+ in France, certified in 1994!)
These figures don't include those of Australia, Japan, the African continent, Russia, the East Countries, Arab countires, Israel...
Remark that these figures approximately date back to 1999-2000. No update has been made since then. They may well have evolved as a consequence.
At the time of release BIA sold incredibly well, to reach a phenomenal 12 million within the 1st 11 months on the market.
The album is reported to have sold well beyond 30 million by now. ... Read More:

I find it very hard to criticise Steve Winwood. He is a quality musician with a quality voice. He started out a teenage prodigy who took the charts by storm, then spent much of the 70's doing pretentious but quality material typical of the era with various line ups. In the 80's he went commercial and had massive success, particularly in the States. Then he tried to carry this theme into the 90's and somehow it didn't work any more. His last album 'About Time' was largely based on latin rhythms with an intimate sounding combo and was a classy piece of work. This new effort seems to fall somewhere in between that album and his 70's work. Whilst it lacks a certain focus and dynamism, it is still a quality piece of work. For me, the bluesy minimalistic opener 'I'm Not Drowning' and the more full on 'Raging ... Read More:
