Outstanding, regardless of what you think about the movie. There is no way to take in all the nuances in all the cues from just watching the movie, and in comparison to a package like this, the original sountrack release sounds horribly butchered. There is not a single emotion that Williams failes to capture or convey, all in the span of a single film (which is not to mention the range exemplified in his entire works). It is perhaps telling that listening to a complete soundtrack like this is infinitely preferable to actually watching the film, but then none of those Lucas/Spielberg films would work without the richness added to the characters or contexts by the music. Why there is not an edition like this for every major Lucas or Spielberg ... Read More:

Quite frankly, I've never heard of James Newton Howard- until now. I had high expectations, but I was bowled over by the maturity of the score and the way it complimented the animated feature, breathing life and emotion into moving pixels. This is not your typical Disney soundtrack. From the beautifully timid opening track "Inner Sanctum/The Nesting Grounds" to the full-blown orchestral "Raptors/Stand Together" and "Across the Desert", Howard experimented with various styles and instruments, yet managed to retain a subtle underlying theme which finally bursts out in the final track, "Epilogue". His collaboration with Lebo M produced a kind of ethnical magic, most evident in "The Courtship", but one which lingers ... Read More:

For less than a tenner, this is great value!
PERFECT sound quality, full symphony orchestras & some of the finest Classical ever written!
Gustav Holst was a genius and I'd recommend the Planets Suite as THE very best place for the Classically curious to start.
Conducted here by Zubin Mehta, and brought to vivid life by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
Movements such as Mars, Jupiter, Saturn & Uranus are some of the most powerful/intense ever written - and even the lighter moments of Mercury, Venus and Neptune (spinechilling) are intoxicating! This music has probably influenced more movie score composers than anything else; Mars (Hans Zimmer/Gladiator's Battle Scene & John Williams/Star ... Read More:

All the main themes in this outstanding score have been quite rightly hailed by many past reviewers. All I can add is, listen to THE ASTEROID FIELD. It is probably the most fantastic action scene accompaniment by any composer in cinema history, and that includes Bernard Herrmann. Williams uses every corner of the orchestra with awe inspiring precision and verve. I cannot champion this fine piece of movie music enough. The rest of the soundtrack ain't too bad either!!

Okay I'll start with Pokemon Theme, brillient version of the song. Don't Say You Love Me, loved this song gets stuck nicely into you head. It Was You great song. We're A Miricle now I see this as being the sister song to If Only Tears Could Bring You Back because I see one being Ash's song and the other as being Pikachu's and this first one is definatly Ash's, great song. Soda Pop is alright though probably my least fav song. Somewhere Someday is a lovely song. Lullaby now I'm gonna start sounding repetitive but I loved this song to. Fun With The Funk what on eart has this song to do with pokemon? It's a nice song but I don't get what it's donig on this CD. Vacation ah the theme to Pikachu's short film Pikachu's Vacation brill song very summer time party. Catch Me If You ... Read More:

The first impressions of this excellent box-set are amazing. And this is even BEFORE you open it! The outside cover itself is decorated with the original Star Wars poster artwork and it really takes you back to that long time ago when they were first released. Unlike the Special Edition CD covers, this one will grab you even if you're not a die-hard Star Wars fanatic like myself. When you finally get inside the impressive casing, you are greeted by a 64-page booklet that accompanies the set; with production pictures, storyboards - a nice read while listening to either one of the four CDs also enclosed. The discs are obviously one for each of the film three films, plus an outtake disc with music that was cut from the original trilogy. Listening to some of these deleted ... Read More:

I had the Star Wars single on vinyl from 1978, until a recent disaster whereby I found it leaning against a hot pipe in my flat, bent and deformed by the heat. Oh how I cried...
Then I realised it is still available. While having it on CD doesn't compare to having the original print on vinyl, it did make me feel a little better.
The highlight here is not the SW theme (though it is pretty dope), but the original b side, Other Galactic Funk (which was just called "Funk" on the single I had).
If you're a funk fan or a Star Wars fan, you'd be a wookie to miss this.

WWF Aggreesion is the one of the best C.D's I've seen and can only be outmatched by WCW Mayem which is also avaliable on this site but it is still worth it's price 5 times over. It includes the rap versions of The Rock, DX, Stone Cold, Mankind and Kane's entrance music
