This is the package us Mungomaniacs have been waiting for! 'Greatest Hits' collections only tell half the story. This 3-CD beauty contains over 60 tracks, comprising almost all the singles, maxi-singles, EPs and album tracks from their 1970-74 heyday, originally released on the Dawn label. It saw the ever-changing line-up evolve from a drummerless jug'n'rock band to a more heavy style, flirting with hard rock, glam, and unashamed rockabilly. You probably know the hits, but here's a chance to sample the more reflective album tracks as well, notably the poignant 'Coming Back To You When The Time Comes' and the Ray Davies-like (lyrically at least) 'Memoirs of a Stockbroker'. As ever, there are superb notes on the inlay sheet.

Raffi is a Canadian children's singer, and having grown up in Canada, this album is a major part of my childhood. Memories of long car journeys singing the songs with my sister, mum and dad, making up new verses for Down By The Bay and using the names of the people we knew for Willoby Wallaby Woo are great.

And it felt like a special club, because none of my friends knew the songs!

Now I am a mum, my 21 month son has already been exposed for months to the joys of Raffi and I hope will grow up with similar memories to me.

Buy this album for your kids - they are songs that adults will love to sing as they are so much more fun than ordinary nursery rhymes!

I first got into Patty Griffin by reading something that Emmylou Harris had said - words to the effect that she was one of Emmylou's favourite singers. I thought that if that was the case then Patty Griffin would be something very special. I wasn't wrong.

This is Patty's most ambitious album to date, no question. The album flows through so many styles - Jazz, Blues, Country, Ballad, Alternative (and that's just for openers). Some of the songs hit straight away (Stand on the Ride, Burgundy Shoes, Someone Else's Tomorrow) others are real growers (Trapeze, Railroad Wings). And, right at the heart of it is this voice - this unimaginably amazing voice - leading the band through the songs.

Her best album so far...

Smells Like Children

I've brought alot of his other CD's and were really good but this one isn't as good as his other stuff. Alot of the tracks are remixes of good Portrait songs and rip them off. Sympathy for The Parents is a remix of an interview aswell. You can find it on youtube under Marilyn Manson on Phil something. I do like the remixes of Dope Hat and the hidden 16th track is alright. Also the covers are amazing. Not just Sweet Dreams which is ok but I put a Spell on You grows on you like Cryptochid on Antichrist Superstar. It is quite creepy and dark. My favourite track on there is definetly Rock `N` Roll Nigger which is loud and fast and gets me really hyper and would make a good classic. It is a little short though.
