i have nothing to say really, after all this years, it remains iggy's most memorable album. it marks an opening of his new era, it showed hope and health in a natrual way. unlike instinct and blah, they are also healthy ones, but they are sythesised. this one contains a diversity of songs, fantastic performance. if you are lucky to see the show for this album, kiss my blood, it's more trhan great. he then changed his appearance, longer hairs. two best iggy;s own albums, brick and caeser.

The first time I saw the video for "Last Night" I wondered how I could've missed this band during my 70's punk phase growing up, even the video has a retro look. Not to mention being completely live, a rarity... It wasn't until I heard the video again that I decided to search for the band online. Unbelievable! They're a NEW release! Wonderful minimalistic guitar, driving drums, melodic bass guitar (what happened to melodic bass parts anyway?)... and the odd Jim Morrison vocal (that's what I hear anyway). Whatever happened to these sounds from NY in the 70's? Here it is again... Just what I was missing. Keep the music coming guys.

This is one of the most under-rated and under exposed albums in rock/punk/pop(?) (in the UK at least), yet it's such a classic. There is not one duff track and the songs are diverse, highly original and addictive. The bass wiggles and pounds, and the drumming is immense, and the overlapping singing is inspired. End of you is just grand, and by the time you reach a Quarter to Three, you will honour this album as greats.

I don't often bother with these reviews but I really must stand up and defend this record. I have all of R.E.M's albums and like all of them, and I can honestly say that not only is this representative of their quality work, but it is also the only album where I think all of the tracks are pretty good.
Of course its a far cry stylistically from their older days, but purist fans who dismiss it out of hand for this cannot be reasoned with. Anyone who prefers Accelerate to this quite frankly has something wrong with them. This cd has twice the volume of quality material (in terms of length), and is much more melodic and better produced. If you were a great fan of Accelerate, perhaps this isn't for you. But if you were a fan of Up or New Adventures ... Read More:

Of all the Pavement albums, although all gems in their own right, 'Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain' stands out as their most coherent and accessible set of songs. This album has a bit of everything and is perhaps the best record for those seeking an introduction to the genuis of Steve Malkmus & co. From the 'oooh, oooh, ooohs' and jangly guitars of 'Cut Your Hair' to the country rock of 'Range Life' with it's war of words against the Smashing Pumpkins there is always something to keep your ears interested. 'Goldsoundz' sees Malkmus at his best vocally with his hoarse tones gliding effortlessly over an airy guitar riff. Closing song, 'Fillmore Jive' sees Pavement at their most epic (or as close as Pavement get to epic!) with strung out blissful guitar solos and alternations ... Read More:

One of the best soundtracks I've ever heard, this film actually makes instrumentals cool!
The music is mainly indie but its very diverse & likeable.
The main reason I rate this soundtrack so highly is because of two of the songs on it that I love, Spoiled & Daddy Never Understood.
A must for everyone who's watched Kids & at least liked one of the songs.
Release Date April 15, 2003
This is a good album. If you're a fan of Pete Yorn, then you probably thought that 'Music for the morning after' was unbelievably good; this isn't quite on the same level. But that's not to detract from the album: this is a strong record.
It requires quite a few listens to fully appreciate a lot of the material on here. That said, 'Come Back Home' and 'Crystal Village' are instantly likeable, great intro songs (and his vocal range is more adventurous than usual!). 'Carlos' and Burrito', although not the best rock songs ever written, are nowhere near as poor as some critics have claimed, and the two songs are probably a lot of fun when played to a live crowd. They also add to the variety of moods on the album. Personally, I love 'All at once': it has really powerful ... Read More:

Stumbled across Adam Green by accident. Supporting Cerys Matthews on her UK tour he came across as this eccentric who couldn't even remember how to accompany some of his own songs on guitar. As the set progressed it was obvious that the quirky rhyming of the simple songs had a much deeper meaning and just got under your skin. I was singing Bartholomew all evening. Its a great album and I defy anyone to not sing along.

Ex-Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, returns with his band Foo Fighters with an outstanding new single that surely will be known as the bands best best work to date.
'All My Life' is focused directly on rocking hard, and is an aggressive song about lost relationships, and is really the kind of song that should be played full blast on your hi-fi system.
B-Side 'Danny Says' is good, but the other b-side is the previously unreleased song (apart from the Orange County film soundtrack) 'The One' which is worthy of a single release itself, and has appeared this year on video channels without actually getting a proper release.
So overall, a great taster for the new album, and is surely going to be a favourite at Foo Fighters live shows.
