Well-chosen songs, beautifully arranged - why does nobody do this any more? This is the music of the seventies for me, much more than prog rock or punk. 'Sesame Street' will put a spring in anyone's step. Wonderful, soft and sensitive singing and Bonnie Herman's voice has to leave Karen Carpenter in a cloud of dust. A gorgeous record, but there is the nagging feeling sometimes that adding that extra line of overdub just makes it a little too rich. Still, it was stunning in the 70s and sounds superb today.

I'm suprised by the lack of reviews on this album- the pieces exudes NYC atmosphere, this is exactly one expects in a noisy underground jazz bar in the Big Apple!

Lacks the 'magic,' touch though, I wouldn't consider this a classic, but the impressive sax perfomance(speaks volumes!) proves worthy of a 4 star EP. Perfect for a relaxing night, sit back and let NYC come to you!

Stan Getz clocked up more than his fair share of classic recorded moments in his fifty year career, among them "Focus", his stunning collaboration with arranger Eddie Sauter, the "West Coast Jazz" session with its epic take of "Shine" and the latterday triumphs of "Anniversary" and "Serenity", as well as the more commercial pickings of the Bossa-Nova boom, kick started by the still alluring "Jazz Samba" album.
