Genuinely this has to be one of the best albums in my vast collection, Come On Over was brilliant, but this is even better. There are so many outstanding tracks-my top five would be:

5-I'm Jealous
4-I'm Gonna Getcha Good!
3-What A Way To Wanna Be
2-Ka-Ching!
1-C'est La Vie

But they're all great!

I guess 'Grease' really sums up Olivia's contribution to the pop scene - cool, calm and collected as the country girl with the silky voice, with tracks like 'Sam', 'I Honestly Love You', 'A Little More Love', 'Deeper than the Night', 'Take Me Home'......et al. Middle road with the early tracks in Grease....., progressing to the 'chick' at the end, with 'You're the One that I Want'!
A dynamic image change from 'Sandra Dee' to Pink Lady, 'Sandie'!

This CD is a mix of the lively and the lovely, with the lyrics to 'Banks of the Ohio', surprising the odd new listener!

It's an understatement to say that Jimmy Buffett isn't all that well known in Australia. Nonetheless he has a few fans 'downunder' and there's even a fan club or two. Getting hold of his albums was not especially easy twenty years ago, but this one popped up at a record store and became my first ever JB album purchase. I appreciate that he'd been recording his songs since about 1970 (was 'High Cumberland Jubilee his first?) but, as I said, his work was hard to get hold of. This album has a great selection of Jimmy's classic songs and is an ideal introduction to his music for anyone who doesn't know who Jimmy is, as well as aspiring 'Parrotheads'. A great starting point for a Jimmy Buffett collection.

I love country music and Tammy Wynette is a singer of whom i regread as being one of the true Queens of Country.
This CD includes her two biggest hit singles "D.I.V.O.R.C.E" and "Stand By Your Man", lots of a cover versons and a duet with Mark Gray.
The standout tracks for me are her beautiful recordings of "Crying In The Rain" and "Please Come To Boston".
This CD has given a lot of pleasure and i'm sure if you buy this album from this great singer sadly no longer with us, you'll enjoy it to.

Most people know about this album and rightly so, as Cash really delivers somthing special here. Throughout the recording not only does Cash perform his songs exactly as you would expect but his personality really shines as he banters with the prison inmates. It is clear from this album alone why Johnny Cash was so popular with all sorts of people. In between songs he jokes around, tells brief stories and, most importantly, connects with his audience. You can tell he has their full support all the way as they cheer and clap during just about every song.

Standout songs are Boy Named Sue, Folsom Prison Blues, Ring of Fire, the Closing Medley and of course San Quentin. The latter song being performed twice in a row to the request of the inmates who immediately ... Read More:

Dial W for Watkins

I first heard of GW when he played on Willie (Bill Wyman) and the Poor Boys album way back.I then found an LP in a second hand shop, "Geraint Watkins and the Dominators". Sadly not available on CD. This man has played alongside countless premier division musicians and most recently has been on tour with Bill Wyman's Rythym Kings.
Known for his cajun and zydeco country feel [and a bit of 12 bar] music this album does not disappoint.
The opening track, "Two Rocks" is played over "chapel organ" chords, lasts just over a minute and is a wonderful prelude to "Turn That Chicken Down" with a real New Orleans feel and dare I say it Art of Noise interlude?
