Robots Spacelab Metropolis Model Neon Lights Man Machine
Some albums open up entire vistas, suggesting not only new approaches but new musical visions. While Trans-Europe Express outlined the general approach, The Man Machine is perhaps the ultimate expression of the synthesis of man and machine that underlay Kraftwerk's approach. The voice, which was so open and optimistic in "Europe Endless" in TEE is now processed and digitised from the off, in the opener "Robots". It's a remarkable song which feels that it had to be made by someone eventually. It's both cold and mechanistic, and oddly funky and touching - I love it when they say "We are programmed just to do / Anything you want us to".
Release Date August 28, 2006
This seems to be a rushed release on the back of the brillant first album, the electronics have gone and been replaced by a Gary Glitter tribute band. I seriously hope they get back on track with the next release and that they don't turn into a one album band like so many other nowdays.
Release Date September 25, 2006
This is just brilliant stuff from Engima. All the usual Michael Cretu genius has resulted in yet another stunning album from Enigma.

Black Sunday made Cypress Hill's connection to rock & roll more explicit, with its heavy metal-like artwork and noisier, more dissonant samples (including, naturally, stoner icons Black Sabbath). It's a slightly darker affair than its groundbreaking predecessor, with the threats of violence more urgent and the pot obsession played to the hilt (after all, it was a crucial part of their widespread appeal). Apart from those subtle distinctions, the sound of Black Sunday is pretty much the same as Cypress Hill, refining the group's innovations into an accessible bid for crossover success. In fact, it's a little startling how often Black Sunday recycles musical ideas and even lyrical catch phrases from the endlessly inventive debut. And the rock-derived, verse ... Read More:

Although not as widely popular in the U.S. as in England, 5 Star managed to score several hits. Most U.S. audiences first became aware of them from "All Fall Down", which hit the R&B and dance charts. "Can't Wait Another Minute" and "If I Say Yes" are prime examples of Brit-Pop at it's finest. Why they never became super huge here is still a mystery.

The genius that is Kraftwerk is communicated beautifully in this exquisite album. For those not familiar with the band it would not be an understatement to say that they are one of the most influential of all time along with the Beatles and the Velvet Underground. Their influence is everywhere. I have been listening to this album for over 20 years and it still sounds fresh. When you consider just how long ago it was written, before the internet and all that came with it, its not just the rhythms, beats and production that were ahead of their time, the lyrics (minimal as they are) are hauntingly prophetic in terms of what has come to pass since the album's release. This album is a must have for these and many others reasons - but most of all - for the music itself - ... Read More:

...I never write reviews but this is just too good to ignore. People will surely compose better prose than me, but suffice to say this has renewed my faith in music...innovative and edgy with more hooks than a a school changing room, it really does defy a pigeon hole categorisation.
All I can say is that I hold this as highly as Fat of The Land & RATM. Absolutely brilliant.

I was a massive fan of Big calm. Listened to it non stop a few years back but since then i kind of forgot about Morcheeba and subsequently did not get much play time on my ipod.. Then my Girlfriend surprised me with tickets to watch them at the Shepherds Bush Empire. They blew me away!
As soon as i got home i listened to there new album which i didnt even know was out. I think it is the best album they have done. Absolutely briliiant, some real hair on the back of your head classic tunes like 'Enjoy the ride' 'Gained the world' 'Sleep on it'.
