In a time when a lot of new music seems to be completely devoid of soul, melodies or meaning this album comes along, kicks you in the head and makes you remember just how beautiful and life-affirming music can be.
It's a concept album about the life of the carmaker John DeLorean (he of the famous Back to the Future car), but quite frankly the subject doesn't matter at all when the music is this good, and I triple-guarantee this album will put a smile on your face and add an extra step to your walk.
The opening track reminds me of early 80s bombast so much and if I could fill my living room with dry ice and lasers to accompany it I would at the drop of a hat. There's also a slight Deus Ex theme feel to it too which appeals ... Read More:

Firstly, I have to say i have never heard of "dubstep" so if this is "Dubstep" then brilliant.
However, I can't help but think that this sits quite nicely in the same camp as Deep Forest and possibly Enigma, very ambient chill with deep bass and samples/ chanting (Archangel)
That's not to say this album isn't good - it's brilliant, have had it on constant repeat for a few days now,

Ok, where to start? Well let's take this in two part;
Lyrically, this album is genius. There are stories both serious, yet heart warming, and prompts further thought. Seriously, this should be winning awards.
Musically... I have no idea what to make of it. Some is pretty good, but a lot is not mixed properly, and jars with the flow of the vocals with semi hip-hop, electro beats that sound pretty unrefined almost as if they have been lifted from an 8 yr old sampler CD of 80's noises.
Still, for a first effort this pretty good, and is carried but the lyricist.
I hope the subsequent efforts are better balanced.

Kinda hard to rave about this, if you'll excuse the pun. You'll know (own?) most if not all of these tracks but they're certainly not all old school. Everything sort of drags on. It could probably have been condensed into one CD. At least the sequencing is in time, which is always a concern with Ministry of Sound "mixes".

Madonna scored some of the greatest songs in the 80's and many of them are placed on this compilation album...but these are remixed versions of the album versions.
this is the greatest compelation album ever made...just a shame not all of her successful singles are captured here(whos that girl,true blue,oh father,over and over,and keep it together)but all the songs here are stunning.

Anyone giving this album 1 star and saying "they are not exactly Paul Van Dyk or Tiesto" is an idiot. Do you not realise that Scooter are just taking the p!ss? All the tracks are proper Euro trash with hilarious lyrics "it's not a bird, it's not a train, it must be Dave who's on the train" - this is clearly meant to be tongue in cheek. The album is great fun and makes you laugh out loud not to mention tap your feet. The new stuff is fantastic and fits perfectly with "jumpstyle". Check out Patrick Jumpen on You Tube to see some Jumpstyling to Scooter, v catchy! I saw Scooter live in Berlin years ago and, believe me, they are just having a laugh. Don't get offended, just get jumpin'!!

Norman Jay (MBE) is at the helm of an eighth collection issued under the title 'Good Times', although unlike previous volumes this is issued on the Azuli Record label, and bears the addition 'London' to the title legend. But it isn't all about change (in a reflection of Jay's recent departure from BBC London), the compilation still features the usual two cds of records apparently chosen personally by Norman.
Given that this is the eighth compilation in the series one might expect the law of dimishing returns to have begun, as the tracks which are widely and generally acknowledged as 'classics' have already been included in previous editions - and Jay does appear to have chosen tracks which (for the most part) are not likely to have been chosen or included in similarly themed ...
