Six years after its Japan-only release on the After Hours label, Broken Horse is thrilled to announce the first European release of the much-talked- about but seldom-heard Fed, the second album by Liam Hayes' Plush.
Since Plush's debut 7", Three Quarters Blind Eyes / Found A Little Baby was released to universal praise in 1994 on Drag City, the tale of Plush has been one mostly concerned with the promise of new recordings, scrapped sessions, rumour and speculation concerning Hayes' quest to match the songs in his head with the recordings in his hand. What has been vastly over-looked is the music.
It was four years before Drag City released Plush's debut album, More You Becomes You. Few albums can be described as being ... Read More:

Many Radiohead reviews are pre occupied with comparing the band's albums. Personally I think this is meaningless. It's like trying to compare a bowl of semolina with a garden ornament. This is a different pre occupation to declaring a favourite. My favourite Radiohead album is 'Kid A' however, comparing it to 'The Bends'...Well I just wouldn't know where to start. 'The bends' is Radiohead's radio friendly era, 12 songs, 12 singles if they'd have wanted, and as with all radio friendly music the listener doesn't have to work too hard to enjoy it, the fix is instant.
' The Bends' is also about 5 equally talented musicians working together to make what is fundimentally a guitar, drums and bass masterpiece and it definately isn't about the 'Thom ... Read More:

...give it a couple of plays, and play it loud. One misgiving: try not to listen to this on tinny little iPod speakers or headphones - they just can't cope with the omnipresent bass synth that rumbles throughout the whole album. You'll need a decent hi-fi for this, otherwise the whole thing distorts. I wonder how often artists think of this when they're in the studio?
(Incidentally, why has nobody else mentioned 'Burning Up' as a standout track?)

Well i must say that this is a really fantastic album. from pounding fuzz riffs to mellow gentle melodies Liam Finn has created an album to be proud of. We have to remember this music is coming from a 24 year old who has played basically all instruments on the album as well as engineering it. The single Better to Be is a super opener to the album, along with songs like ill be lightening, gather to the chapel and the upbeat music moves my feet. You definitley wouldn't see James Morrison or anyone in around Finns age group writing so many emotionally charged songs. May it continue!

Once in a while, an album comes along that you just fall in love with instantly - and this is one of those very special collections. 'Exit Strategy Of The Soul', Ron Sexsmith's ninth studio album, is a mellow, melodic masterpiece. A soulful, soothing collection of gently beautiful, largely piano-based compositions which, even on the more upbeat songs ('One Last Round', 'Poor Helpless Dreams' and 'Brandy Alexander', co-written with fellow Canadian, Leslie Feist), are more of a leisurely stroll than anything to really get the pulse racing. This is an album to be enjoyed on Sunday mornings with a fresh cup of coffee, to be savoured on a romantic evening with the lights down low and your loved one close by you, to be listened to on the way home after a hard day at work and ... I thoroughly enjoyed Snow Patrol's latest album "Eye's Open" ,but I didn't enjoy the band's 2004 album "Final Straw" quite so much.It wasn't quite up to the high standards of "Eyes Open". That said it is still one of the better albums that I have heard recently featuring excellent songs such as "How To Be Dead", "Spitting Games", "Chocolate" and "Run". A few other tracks on "Final Straw" are good as well but I found the final four or five songs (bonus tracks included) to be a bit of a let down;they all seemed to blur into one.

Now while many say that Rages best record was the unstoppably furious debut, this is their true masterpiece. Its the sound of a more intelligent and focused band embracing raw experimental sounds. Now while the album is known for its stomping hits (Testify, Guerilla Radio and Sleep now in the fire) its actually on many of the hidden gems on this album that rage hits on to something. For example the exellent album tracks Born of a Broken Man, where rage fuse the time signatures of Led Zeppelin and the *Loud-Quiet* dynamics of many grunge and prog bands, coupled with Zachs poetry and Tom Morellos achingly sad riff produce one of the bands greatest songs. Theres also more quality stomping on Hip-Hoppers Calm Like a Bomb with more Space Ship noises from Tom Morello and a funky bassline ... Read More:

This is by-far my favourite stereophonics album:
Superman: This is my all time favourite, it kick starts the album with a really catchy tune, the words though such as "Superman on an aeroplane sitting next to louis lane" is not anything i can relate to lol, but i just love Kelly's vocals it shows the strength his voice can go.
Doorman: Now this song i wasnt struck on when i first got the album, i thought it was a little too heavy with the rock n roll, but after playing the album over and over it has grown on me - i love the chorus where the guitar breaks down and Kelly's voice takes over, this song has got attitude!
Brother: i dont like the verses to this song but i love the chorus another rocky song.
Devil: Another all time favourite of mine!!! Love the verses, ... Read More:
