A good, catchy pop rock album... but the overall the album is a lot less genuine, it's very clear how deliberately polished each track is and how much effort went into the commercial appeal of the sound and image.
I have to say that I prefer All We Know Is Falling purely for the rawness of the bands sound. The lyrics of Riot! are perhaps more complex, but the simplicity in All We Know Is Falling's lyrics boast much more spirit and emotion than this sophomore effort.
It is also pretty difficult to pick any tracks that stand out as much to me, while it's easy to claim Riot! is a stronger album in all the technical aspects, none of the tracks capture my heart the way Pressure, Emergency and pretty much every other All We Know ... Read More:

I bought this album in january and i thought it was amazing the songs are really heavy, it's loud, the drumming and the drum sound is breathtaking, the solos are brilliant and lyrics are very political. To be honest i have no problem with the production i think the albums fine the way it is. I dont have a favourite track on this there all amazing though Too Live Is Too Die did take some listening to get into and so did harvester of sorrow, the rest of the tracks i loved straight away. From the awesome Blackend to really fast and heavy Dyers Eve the album is a masterpiece. I can't really fault this album i prefer this to the black album well i prefer most metallicas album to the black album. This is a great place to start with metallica and thrash metal this ... I find this album absolutely hilairious and the lyrics are random in a funny way. The guitar is ok but the quality of singing is not meaningful enough and Tenacious D should take out thos ear piercing notes in tribute etc.
Release Date April 21, 2008
Having read a few of the reviews about the album I thought I'd add my bit. This album is one of the best I have bought in a long time - it hasn't left my CD player for several weeks. What you get is what you'd expect, unless you are deluded. Whitesnake are a hard rock act that produce great music to be played loud. If you are looking for experimental jazz fusion in 12/19 time, cutting-edge grimy dubstep or Shakespearian eloquence then you should be looking elsewhere, a fact that some of the 1-star reviewers seem to have overlooked. On the other hand, if you are a fan of 80s rock, heavy riffs, fist-pumping choruses and outstanding guitar-playing, and want an album to stick on in the car at maximum volume on a sunny day, then get this album, fast.

As a die hard fan of UH, I am pushing hard to make myself enjoy this album but it's not happenning. It doesn't mean it isn't good. I believe "Wake the Sleeper" is their best album since John Lawton left the band. But if you have ever tasted UH with Ken Hensley and David Byron, then you know what I mean. Give it a listen but don't expect much.

Metallicas first album and it's breathtaking, for me this is one of their best albums alongside ride the lightning, Master Of puppets, And Justice For All & St. Anger(yes). This classic thrash metal includes 10 amazing thrash metal songs all killer and no filler. Best songs for me are The Four Horsemen,Motorbreath, Whiplash, Phantom Lord(just for the amazing mid - section), No Remorse & Seek & Desrtoy. Which is really the whole album. This is one of the metallica albums that i can listen the whole way through without skipping a song, lets be honest though i love megadeth The Four Horsemen is better then Dave's versioN(even though dave wrote it). So this is a must if you are a thrash metal fan this is an important album in metal history. If you're looking for a raw heavy ... Read More:

It just amazes me each time I listen to this album. The enormous talent. The versatility. The sheer inventiveness.
It follows a succession of albums that have got better and better. I was so taken aback by Origin of Symmentry and when I saw Muse live I was so speechless at how talented Matthew Bellamy is. But this album.....
It's everything about it. You can hear the orchestral basis for so many of these songs translated into unbelievable howling guitars. The powerful and poignant lyrics. The inventiveness.
See them live when you can and see how amazing this band is. They are incredible.
Release Date May 28, 2007
Never really been a fan of the indie scene and more of a metal fan myself, i went to see this band due to my friend buying tickets and needing someone to go with him. Live, they were fantastic which surprise surprise led me to buy this album which is so so catchy and to be honest just brilliant. so yeah buy it!!!

From the drooling reviews on here you would think Crue were back to their best, well they're not. This album is OK but it has loads of filler and is no more than average. I would say this had potential but is wildly overproduced. Take the track Saints of Los Angeles, anyone who has the game Rock Band has already heard a rawer and much better version without the 'metal choir' (gang mix or whatever they call it). It has been produced to death and the energy and drive leeched out of it. I suspect this is true of much of the rest of the material here. It's a shame but they have really gone OTT in the mixing booth. Just play and record it with no more than a few tweaks guys!

I've known of Pearl Jam for many years, but have only heard Vitalogy previously which is OK without any real stand-out tracks, plus the iconic 'Alive' from this album. However, having read the recommendations in Amazon I decided to take a punt and after only one listen I'm really glad that I did. It sounds fresh with great vocals and heavy guitars: classic rock and miles better than the drivel played on the readily-available channels. Chalk one up for the oldies!
