Station To Station, as many reviewers have pointed out, is a fairly short album in terms of the number of songs that are recorded on it. However - the album still clocks in at a decent length. And song for song, it's a very strong line up. Bowie's vocals are great throughout - and each tune engages the listener accordingly (even the cover of Wild is the Wind - not many male artists could pull that off with so much repressed emotion).

STS is a great listen - and I for one would rather have 6 strong songs than 11 or 12 that have been padded out (heresy it may sound but I think Aladdin Sane and Diamond Dogs are guilty of this - only by one track but it illustrates how less can sometimes be more).

This is an amazing album full of hits which were classis, even just after release all those years ago. The fact that they still sound great is testament to the man. I tried to find one song which i didnt like or didn't hum along to, but it was impossible. Buy it!

I'm sorry but I have to fully disagree with the 1 star review posted on this. Black & Gold is just a brilliant song. It's got an irresistible, infectious beat and great lyrics, and young Sparro is a terrific new, up-and-coming talent. How refreshing it is to see a song like this come out of nowhere and become a huge and memorable success. Definitely one of the best songs I've heard in years.

This is a great soul collection. This girl and two guys (from Peckham, South London) really made some classic club hits which bring back great memories of the 1980's. If you missed them back then or were born a bit later, then catch up by buying this collection. It contains all their hits including Don't Be A Fool, Slow Down, Hanging On a String, Choose Me and Golden Years (a David Bowie remake!) This is a well produced classic soul album that still sounds really fresh today and can still rock the dancefloor! Check it out!!

This is one of my favourite CD's from the early nineties.

There's a tenderness and maturity to the songs here which hasn't dated one bit.

Everyone I know who loves this album has a different track as their favourite and the superb production bringing out all the emotion in Annie's singing.

The songs are sung with a heartfelt honesty that's still refreshing to hear, with almost none of the "pop production" that could spoil some of the Eurithmics recordings. "Money can't Buy It" and "Little Bird" are audio dem-room classics too.

At the prices here, I'd sincerely recommend you give this a try - it deserves to be in every CD collection.
