iv owned this album for a few years now and it still gets played frequently, alot of peoples views tend to liken them to the chemical brothers, which i do agree they are similar, but at the same time very different. they share similar beats and sounds, but TCM sound very sharp and have a unique "distorted" sound to them. i can listen to this album all the way through, where as with the chemical brothers i tend to listen to selected favorite tracks.
most dance fans will already own this album, but if you dont then i strongly reccomend it! in my opinion TCM hold there ground against other great dance artists such as; the chemical brothers and leftfield
i also own the other TCM albums and they are also brilliant. "legion ... Read More:

When i first heard this track i nver realised that it was made by the Chemical Brothers. I have never heard of any of The Flaming Lips` output, but the track is fantastic.Describing myself as a dance music fan, i think this is an intelligent piece of music which diverts away from the occassional weirdness which the Chems can be attributed to. Its a slow tuneful beat accomponied by the Flaming lips bloke telling/singing a story, which is followed by random shouts of "LOrd Help me". Anyway, to cut a long story short, its good. Yeah!

Went into a shop to buy another cd. This was playing and I bought it hoping it would be as good as it sounded for 2 minutes in the shop. It is better than it sounded. A strange cross between Alice Cooper, trance music, Leftfield and my Reike relaxation cd. Fabulous percussion, awesome melodies and that moreish factor which means you play it non-stop.

It seems that Fatboy is taking a pasting again. Perhaps the context of this mix has been lost on some reviewers. It's live! (albeit edited in places because of the length of the set..). Some of the mixes DO rattle and aren't perfect, but this provides a refreshing change from the Pro-Tools perfected mixes being produced in studios and tagged with a DJ's name, purely because he/ she chose the tracks and the programming.
I love Norm's 'devil may care' approach. He happily crosses genres, mixing house into techno, breaks into progessive, etc etc etc... He doesn't try and take you 'on a journey'. Oh - it's a fabulous cliche and should be reserved only for the likes of Sasha & Digweed, who really do take you on a journey, but again ... Read More:

What a packed compilation. This is an unmixed 2 CD collection of remixes of DeeJay Punk-Roc tracks by Punk-Roc himself and by a stunning line-up of A-list remixers.
This CD will be loved by the breaks crowd mainly for disc one, and the remixes by breaks legends Plump DJs, Drumattic Twins, Bassbin Twins, Ils, and Tsunami One (aka Adam Freeland). Disc one has the stronger club mixes, and to be as a little bit better overall.
Most of the mixes are from 1998 to 2002, and Punk-Roc's original material and his own mixes can still sound more like big-beat than breakbeat. Since big beat's gone a bit out of fashion now you might think some of the mixes are a bit dated.
On disc two you get a wider variety of remix styles, ... Read More:
