Gaz Coombes and pals had it made. A number one album with their critically acclaimed debut 'I Should Coco' and a top 3 single with the perennial 'Alright'. As an incredibly tight three piece they made a big, big sound and received consistently rave reviews for their live shows.
Over the years Supergrass's star may have diminished somewhat - they are probably more Radio 2 now than Radio 1 - but a recent support slot at Wembley Stadium with the Foo Fighters ably proved that the band can still pull out all the stops when required.
This compilation is a couple of years old now but, with the recent high profile Wembley gigs and their own well recieved shows keeping the group in the public eye, there has never been a better time to revist ... Read More:

After listening to the first Thirteen Senses album i always wondered how their second would compare. Middle of the road as a lot are, fade into obscurity?...
The answer is no, the second album is every bit as good as, if not better than the first. Whether you are a fan of soft rock, melodic pop or simple chill out songs this album is for you. Each song is ripe with emotion and a dark, chilling soul waiting to be let out. Soft rock fans will enjoy the similarities to Coldplay though with a better vocal presence and all should enjoy the simple yet well-layered rhythms of the music as a whole.
How this band can have stayed under the radar for so long is a mystery as less talented bands have risen and fallen around them. Anyone ... Read More:

I took a chance on this album, never having heard of Ben's Brother ! thought it might have been a bit folky because of the types of instruments and although it isn't folk, I'm very glad I did - the lyrics are great, I feel like the songs take me on a journey and I love it - not keen on 'Home' track but 11 out of 12 ain't bad .. I can't take it off the CD player .. and can't wait for another album

This album is excellent from beginning to end. Think of those rainy northern town days when you're stuck inside wasting time. Much better than any of the Verve's albums.

Not since the 'Clash' or 'Reservoir Dogs' has a debut been so good, seriously this album is near to perfection; something that has only been achieved by their self titled second album. If you have reservations due the media's portrayal of 'Doherty' ignore them and buy this regardless... and then buy the second album.

One thing that strikes you about this album is the amount of first class goth/emo singles that this band has produced. There are at least 10 songs on here which should be rated 5 stars in their own right. This album puts accross Placebo's unique, distinctive and slightly meloncholic sound perfectly and is a must for all of their fans or anyone who has ever liked their singles. Althought there are too many highlights to mention individually highlights include "The bitter end", "Special K" and "Bruise pristine." All the songs are catchy, pop influenced emo and rock songs that will have you singing (and dancing in some cases) along after a few listens. This is a great introduction to a great band and is a great place for anyone new to the band to start off with.

The Stone Roses are the third best band in the history of rock & roll.
The band discovered by Sounds journalist GARRY JOHNSON are up there with The Sex Pistols and Oasis...
This album is a fantastic collection of classic songs...every home should own a copy...when Garry Johnson wrote the first ever live review in Sounds Magazine he said "This band will be bigger and better than the The Beatles" and he was 100% right.

For as long as I've been a Texas fan, I've always thought that they should release a live acoustic album. At last it's here. Not only is it a live album, it's a 2CD set! It covers all of their career from Southside to Careful What You Wish For. I guess Red Book was too recent.
Sharleen has the perect voice for acoustic albums. It's well recommended.
