My music tastes usually have to include talented musical playing ability i.e.Porcupine Tree, Keith Jarrett, Jimi Hendrix, Weather Report etc so it unusual for me to rave about an album based on singing and harmony vocals but the Fleet Foxes have given me an album that I have not enjoyed so much for years. I dont do a bundle on singers apart from Jeff Buckley,Thom Yorke, early Neil Young and Lowell George but the phrasing of the vocals on these delightful songs really hit the spot. Could be too mellow for some but on further and repeated listening it is ever so rewarding. Im raving to my friends(those with musical taste) so much about the Fleet Foxes that I feel the need to write my first ever review. Buy this album now.

The original version of Good Girl Gone Bad is a great RnB album with some catchy pop hooks and great beats. The singles such as Umbrella and Don't Stop The Music are obviously standout tracks, and Rihanna's shown off a very soulful side on tracks such as Rehab and Cry.
The problem is that this re-release (as with most re-releases) is NOT worth owning if you already bought the original, as most of Rihanna's fans will have. Having to purchase an entire album again for the sake of three tracks - however good those three tracks are - is just a waste of money. You'd be much better off downloading the extra tracks from iTunes or somewhere for a couple of pounds instead of forking out for the entire album again. If you count it up, there have now been no ... Judging by their first single 'Take back the city; I have high hopes on this album. It sounds different to their last album eyes open which before they were very emotional, the single 'you are all I have' says it all. I really hope doesn't fail because of their change of style like The Zutons' 'You can do anything' which failed which they also have a highly successful 2006 album 'Tired of hanging around' Just like Snow patrol's successful 'Eyes open'.

In 'Dear Science' TV On The Radio have finally delivered on the early promise of their EP 'Young Liars' with the dazzling art-rock album they've long threatened but somehow neglected to deliver. Although 'Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes' and 'Return To Cookie Mountain' had some great individual songs, overall I found them frustratingly dense records, overproduced and overwrought. 'Dear Science', however, finds the band in fine, funky fettle. The songs, in themselves of a higher quality, have been freed from producer Dave Sitek's sometimes stifling more-is-more approach. Despite being a record of much bitter anger (political or otherwise) and grief, conversely they have also delivered their most open album with a lightness of touch not always previously apparent. ... This seemed like a pretty competent live album, especially if you start with disc 1 and its replication of the 'On An Island' album. From that album 'Take a Deep Breath' is pretty powerful.
But like a lot of other people, I bought this because I love Pink Floyd and I was keen to hear some old favourites, hence disc 2. 'Shine On...' is slightly different, more mellow (if that is possible) but more interesting after two previous live renditions on the last two Floyd albums.
However, if you are a Floyd fan then you need to buy this album for another classic, 'Echoes'. Quite simply, it is stunning, from Rick Wright's opening keyboards, to the vocals, Gilmour's funky guitar, the ambient section and then the return with Gilmour showing why he is the greatest ... This is a fun, funky and successful debut from the hot UK group with the onomatopoeic name. All the songs are original material, written and composed by the fresh and fabulous duo, and it's a great pity that the album is so short.
Turn on the radio at any time of the day, and before long you're probably going to hear either of the two really big singles from this album, or both of them. The single "Shut Up and Let Me Go" recently won the MTV Video Music Award for "Best UK Video", the other hot single being "That's Not My Name". "Great DJ" is yet another single, with "Be the One" scheduled for release soon. I recently received some PepsiStuff Points to buy an MP3 download from Amazon, and I had no hesitation in picking "Shut Up and Let Me Go"

i cant believe i hear this album now! having recently bought the brilliant Leaders Of The Free World I wanted to discover Elbow. Then I listened to Cast Of Thousands next which i included in my top 10 album list. but then I listened to this album and I was totally knocked off my feet! I just love it. this is music! reading other reviews I was deeply dissapointed they were compared to other bands. some of the reviews which compare elbow to say coldplay would have put off buying this record. If u like music then get all the albums by Elbow. Another band I thought I should recommend is I Am Kloot.
