Together with 50 songs and nursery rhymes on the first disc (CD) disc 2 (which is a DVD) has classic childrens stories, learning rhymes, action songs and learning games.
We use the CD mostly in the car but it's the DVD which gets the most play in our house - the Action Songs are my little ones favorite (I'm a little teapot, Mulberry Bush and Ring Of Roses are firm favs).
For the first few times my toddler simply sat a watched but after that she couldn't help but join in, and she loves to dance and move to the actions that the boys & girls do on screen.

I bought this album for my kids last year and they liked it so much they only stopped playing it a few months ago! As well as imaginative interpretations of Halloween classics like 'Monster Mash' and 'Ghostbusters' sung by witches and ghouls, the album also features two fantastic original compositions called 'Spooky Boogie' and 'Hello Halloween', which my kids absolutely love. To top it all off there's a scary story and 20 minutes of spooky sound effects, which are great as background atmosphere for party games. Brilliant value!

Baby Einstein - Travelling Melodies

Adopting the usual Baby Einstein "plinky-plonky" approach to the classics, this CD is now banned from our car for long distance travel. The kids might enjoy it, I don't know for sure though as I get a more positive reaction to the new James Morrison CD than I do to this. When trying to deal with the stresses of motorway travel, this CD will probably hinder and not help when trying to remain calm.

The Muppet Christmas Carol

Possibly the best album of all time. Kermit has an especially fantastic voice, a cross between an early Cat Stevens and David Gray in his latest album, Life in Slow Motion. However, I think his rendition of One More Night till Christmas perhaps eclipses both these two great artists. I had heard rumours of a contract with Sony BMG and a solo career, but have no idea why it hasn't materialised. The song Love Is Gone is also an absolute classic, and brings tears to my eyes, especially the second version Track 18, which is perhaps the stand-out song of the entire album (which is saying a lot). Today you imagine this sort of stuff appeals more to adults than kids yet its somehow hard to understand how Sixteen Tons could have been a Childrens Favorite.
Supposedly based on the results of requests you take their word for it.
Many of these tracks were produced by the pre Beatles George Martin-Mandy Miller and Bernard Cribbins for example.

The Very Best of the Wombles

I've little to add to the excellent reviews already given for this album. This is a super cd, full of fun brilliantly composed happy songs that will not fail to make you or your little ones smile, or giggle hysterically as you dance around the living room with them. I've yet to find a childrens album that tops it.
