Cut to fit the TV screen, it is a poor quality print. No subtitles. No closing credits. A lack of sharpness and definition to the picture and sound. The "extras" are not worth bothering with. Disappointing is what it is.

Kathleen Harrison is superb as is the supporting cast of British film luminaries. They and Alistair deserved better. Cheap and looks it.

This is a heartwarming, feelgood film but at the same time has some touching moments. I cried like a baby at the end. But this doesn't mean that the film has a sad ending. You will see what I mean once you have seen it.

If you like Christmas and a touch of magic, then watch this ! Highly recommended, but make sure you have a box of tissues.

King's Singers Christmas

Having been a King's Singers fan for decades I was happy, but still kind of disappointed, to welcome another Christmas album from the group; this is their third such issue on CD format. Happily, the repertoire does include "novelties" (if this a suitable word for old music) and the songs are well organised. Moreover, the performances are the best so far - the recording line-up (there have been a change since :-() is, in my opinion, the best one for Early music.
