My kids are hardcore fans of Barney T.V show. I thought this CD would be right along their alley. It was love at first sight for my five yaer old kids. It starts with the frightfully jolly Barney theme song, and ends with the emotional I love you. it is a rollercoaster ride of fun and games, and you'll be humming along to it in no time. The standout tracks are definately the reassuring "my family's just right for me", the bouncy tune of "the ants go marching" and the frankly rather disturbing but still very jolly "do your ears hang low". There are disapointments including the rather cliched alphabet song and the rather repetitive Itsy Bitsy Spider. The rather symplistic lyrics aside this is good clean fun for all ... Read More:

Quite frankly, I've never heard of James Newton Howard- until now. I had high expectations, but I was bowled over by the maturity of the score and the way it complimented the animated feature, breathing life and emotion into moving pixels. This is not your typical Disney soundtrack. From the beautifully timid opening track "Inner Sanctum/The Nesting Grounds" to the full-blown orchestral "Raptors/Stand Together" and "Across the Desert", Howard experimented with various styles and instruments, yet managed to retain a subtle underlying theme which finally bursts out in the final track, "Epilogue". Two things to know in this review - this documentary of this world renowned countryman of mine is outstanding, very good and well put together. It chronicles through Madiba's life as well as the political and cultural development of South Africa during the apartheid years, so it is lined up with the goings-on arouns Mandela as well as how he was responding to it all himself.
Secondly though, paying R500/£47 plus for a DVD of this, is ridiculous!! You are being cheated, and it is far better getting the VCR version than paying loads for a DVD showing the same thing. Plus it is NOT rare to find on DVD. Be careful not to be cheated, just because it does happen to be the best quality documentary on Mandiba made as yet.

I didn't realise that the programme is dubbed with english accents for the Uk on Nick Junior. This CD is the original with american accents. It wasn't the same experience and we have sent it back (thanks amazon for being very understanding). Please make sure you and your child are happy with the sound before you buy it - I feel cheated. Doesn't look like you can buy an 'english' version yet - will be looking out for it!

Forever Diamondz - Collector's Edition

The is the first Bratz CD I bought for my seven year old daughter having asked if the there is such an album. Amazon came up trumps, as always, and we discovered this gem. The first track is very catchy with their own version of Bowie's fashion followed by very upbeat and girly lyrics which any Bratz fan (and Mum!)will learn in no time. The sound quality is excellent and the whole album sounds a cross between Beyonce/Girls Aloud. We have spread the word and two of my daughter's classmates have since bought it. We purchased the CD in January and we still play it every Sunday when Dad is out of the house!!

I have the water babies since i was a verry little girl, and the story has always intrigued me. It's a great childrens film that i feel adults can also enjoy. Just one point, if you really enjoyed the film i would recommened you not to read the book. I have read it recently thanks to this film, but i discovered from the offset that the film is extremely different to the book and i cannot watch the film in the same light ever again. Overall a great film all the family will enjoy and watch over and over again.
