Seeing that this follows after the excellent Chillout Session 2, i have to say i'm not impressed with this follow up. There are way too many tunes lifted straight from the previous 2 albums, and its not like there is a lack of quality chillout music to choose from!
MoS also seem to have a knack for choosing rubbish remixes of certain songs on their compilations, such as Jakatta's American Dream (the definitive version of which appears on Chilled Out Euphoria) and Bent's Swollen. Why they decided to go with the remix they did rather than the totally brilliant (and in my opinion more chilled) Dusted remix is beyond me.
On the other hand, it's not all bad. If you don't own Chillout Session 1 or 2 from MoS buy this by all means, ... Read More:

The Orb may not be as relevant to electronic music and music in general as they once were but BAT shows that they still know how to make a great album. More upbeat and diverse, this album isn't so much a single listening epic as their early stuff but just a collection of good Orb tracks, naturally filled with weird, trippy samples. The best tracks are Hell's Kitchen, The Land of Green Ginger, Gee Strings, LUCA and From a Distance all of which are classic Orb. Everything else is good but these tracks are the ones that make the album such a good listen. Worth buying but get their earlier releases to see them at their full potential.

Listening to CDs 1 and 2 of this compilation is like listening to two entirely different albums. Whilst CD 2 "Dawn" is as delightful as you'd expect from the excellent "Classic Chillout" series, with its soaring strings and choral harmonies to send shivers down the spine, they have decided to fill CD1 "Dusk" will dull, minimalistic thudding trance tunes. There is the odd commercial track from the likes of Moby and Leftfield, but let's face it, what self respecting chillout fan doesn't own these tracks already? On the other hand, CD2 introduces the listener to an array of beautiful haunting melodies. The particular highlight for me is Louis Clarke's "Moonlight River in Spring", combining oriental flutes and cymbals with bubbling synthesisers. Morricone, Mancini ... Read More:

Excellent Album. This is an intellegent piece of mastery and must be added to any self respecting individuals record collection. Superb basslines, funky vibes and interesting compositions make this a world beater. Id also recommend the remixed version of this album (Reset: Remixes), which is equally superb.

It sounded so good. A nice bit of classical music, which i personally don't think you can beat every once in a while. Then claiming that they were ambient remixes just added to it. Notice that i state claimed there. In fact i would call this a total and utter lie. Personally I think the box set should be renamed "100 Chillout Classics: masterfully played on your Casio keyboard that you found in the loft but hadn't seen since you were five, using the full array of preset tempos and beats." Still two out of five purely for amusement value, and the two decent tracks i've found after listening to 3 of the CDs.

For Tosca fans hooked on their excellent "Dehli 9" and "Suzuki" albums, "Chocolate Elvis" comes a pretty close third. Superficially an 11 track remix of the same song, it's much broader and much more interesting than its track listing suggests. With most of the remixes being so different that they stand as totally different tracks, and with several managing to raise a smile on the way, the album flows from start to finish and after a couple of plays starts to etch its way into the memory's "groove-banks" in typical Richard Dorfmeister style. As always, brilliantly produced and seriously addictive.

I probably listened way too much of it until almost got bored but overall this was the best album for me ever. Even better than Dark Side of the Moon (though not same genre of music). Its classy, fun, upbeat if anything. I did have to disable a number of tracks I didnt like but out of such huge selection it didnt feel like a loss. Still this brilliant album kept me awake many nights while I was building a few kewl websites - - Maybe the songs are older now but still you wont regret it - its way toooo cooool !!!!

This track has been released and re-released so many times, it's hard to keep track of them all. Two completely new mixes are included here (Nalin & Kane and Hybrid) bringing it up to about the dozen mark, and they're still coming!
The Nalin & Kane remix sets the track in a new light - it retains the uplifting, pumping, Balearic vibe, although it is coupled with a deeper, darker side - quite characteristic of Nalin & Kane. The Hybrid remix is predictable, although it is the only remix to set the track in a breakbeat style.
This CD is good, but weaker than the other one in the Cafe Del Mar '98 double set from Hooj Choons, which contains the all time classic Three 'N One remix.

This was my first compilation chill out album. Every track has been replayed a thousand times. I have now in excess of 400 chill compilations, and I still come back tot this one.

After recently moving house i stumbled my old CD collection, and tunes from my single days. I simply felt compelled to write a review about this perfect CD.
I bought this CD during my last 'lads holiday' in Zante 2001. When i play this CD it takes me back to those hot nights, about 5am in the morning after 'living it large' and enjoying every minute of the best days of my life. Drifting into a relaxed state of tranquility as i play this CD in the darkness of the hot apartment, i take a deep breath in and out as i close my eyes and smile at the night's madness.
At the time the CD took great trance tunes that were hitting the clubs: Cafe Del Mar, Deadline, Seven Days and One Week, Silence, etc. and just presented a chilled out flavor of the ... Read More:
