When I am not listening to goth or industrial music, I am relaxing to some downtempo music. I consider myself a big fan of chillout music. My favorite chillout music has come from the Buddha Bar series and its sister series. I am especially a fan of "Chill Out in Paris" series. I first got into the series with the second volume a couple of years ago. When I saw the third volume in the new cd rack at a local record store, I had to buy it. "Chill Out in Paris 3" is by far my favorite compilation in the series as well as a chillout compilation in general. Dave Visan really knows how to pick the perfect songs for this series. I loved this album since the first day I put it into my CD player! My favourite track is the first 'ombra mai fu' a really beautiful rendition and one I play over again.You won't be let down by this CD.It has very strong classical opera overtones but with a twist of modernity which makes much easier listening of opera/classical style music.Great music to contemplate to....great music to chill out to.....you won't be disappointed with your purchase.

I been searching for a chill out compilation that reaches the highs of Sunset Ibiza for years. Nothing comes close. The rest lack imagination and seem monotonous by comparison. This is as good as it gets.

I bought this album because I already have (and love) Aria 2. However, this first effort is disappointing in comparison, especially if you have chosen it because you enjoy the original operatic pieces and are looking for a fresh take on them. A remix of any music should remain, at heart, a tribute to the original. Unfortunately, the producer of this album seems to have used the current popularity of classical music as a cheap vehicle for their own musical style. Tracks like 'Un bel di' are reduced to bland, coffee table jazz, with samples of the real song being tacked on here and there in a token effort to remind listeners that they have indeed bought an album entitled 'Aria'.

This is a fantastic album. It is lively and catchy at the start, and gradually becomes soothing and quite tranquil. I think that this album covers a wide range of tastes, and when I first got the album I didn't like some of the tracks, but what I found was that after a few days, I began to love them. EXCELLENT MUSIC ALL ROUND HERE!

After I first listened to this CD I was about to come onto the Amazon site and completely lambast the CD for being a complete waste of money. I thought they'd just wrecked all the best GA tracks.

For the most part they seem to have switched the drum machines on and the disappeared down the pub.

Still I listened to it a few times at home and it's beginning to grow on me quite a bit, and I now enjoy having this album on in the background.

I'm not sure it'll be to every-one's taste however ...
