Great collection of mellow dance music from Rue Du Soleil, stable mates of Cafe del Mar. I think comparable with the best of Cafe del Mar. The tracks with sparse mainly female vocals blend beautifully together leading you down different avenues of feeling.

Skye's vocals are good but not as amazing as the first album (Who can you trust), they are not as afective. There is also some more mixing which is quite good.But by coparing it to to their latest album Fragments of freedom you can see they are loseing the plot. It is a good intoduction into trip hop which is deffinatly worht it if you like mellow music.

Since this is one MOBY's first CD's, one cannot be too tough on him. However, the term ambient (penned by Brian Eno in the Seventies) used to mean multi-layered, ethereal space/mood music. Moby keeps the layers and the moods, but the constant percussion (it's good) keep it from being anything but relaxing. This represents a good foreshadowing of what moby was to produce.

There's been some mention that the second disc is a bit on the fast side, it is - but I still find I can just lay back and let these tracks flow over me leaving me feeling relaxed, chilled and refreshed. There are some excellent tracks on here, and I love the way Ministry compilations mix from one track to the next, thus allowing you to completely immerse yourself in the wonderful sounds coming from your stereo.

I'm lucky enough to be allowed to listen to music at work, and this album really helps me beat the stresses of the day. These are modern chilled sounds, they're not hard house or too thumping on the bass to be able to relax to even though they're dance tracks. And it's a great album to wallow in the bath to!! One of the worst music compilation on Amazon. Don't be enticed by the bargaining prices, the music simply doesn't live up to expectations. With 30-40 minutes for each CD losely organised with no theme, it's hardly capable of relaxing my mind & body.
