There isnt much to say really apart from being a collection of mediocre tracks. Doesnt fit into my ideal collection of chilled out tracks that capture my mood and personally I found the experience entirely forgettable.

The Christmas Chillout Album

For the price, this album is great value. The orchestrations are well done without being overblown and the sound quality is excellent. This is an ideal CD to have playing quietly in the background as you wrap presents, decorate the tree or trim the sprouts. It won't stop you in your tracks and make you think "That's stunning!", but neither will you wince. Definitely worth getting. I bought it for just one track, Carol of the Bells, and I was quite pleased with the rest as well.

Having never been to Cafe del Mar and never buying any previous CdM compilations I had anticipated the usual reworking of the well-know tracks present on the multiple chillout CDs now on sale. Thankfully I was completely wrong - this is by far the best of the genre compilations and is all new work from established and new artists. The blurb states that the album is new work from known favourite artists (CD 1) and compilations of new work from any artist who submitted tracks to the CdM website and was then voted on for inclusion by over 80,000 listeners (CD 2 & 3). There is a heap of great stuff on this compilation and many artists new to me who I plan to start exploring.

It is wonderful to have a WHOLE listenable album of amazingly well crafted, chilled, sophisticated music by one group.

I just love this album, Lebanese Blonde is one of the best chill out tunes of all time but there are some other truly great tracks on there.

Ah, the wonderful dilemma of choosing a favourite BOC recording remains, despite Geogaddi's best efforts. On the whole, this just sneaks past Music Has The Right To Children for me, but based on number of plays, and considerably way ahead of The Campfire Headphase - which I still have not got used to.

It would be quite a task to describe individual tracks for they are numerous and of such varying length. Further, Geogaddi is a near seamless cohesive journey. BOC prove they are master-craftsmen in the electronica genre here, but don't expect too much by way of 'mood-music', this is not really an emotional ride but an extraordinary and exciting journey helped along by some wonderful samples - none more so than the 'geology lecture' of subterranean ... Vertigo

This album is stupidly good. The only CD that comes close to this album is Air's 'Moon Safari' that is legendary itself. If you are looking for a chill out album and you don't already own this you have been missing out for years. 'At the River' is of course the best thing about this album but every track has its merits and 'Your Song' will also grow on you.
All great songs can be overplayed but very few remain as good as the first time you hear them but 'At the River' is one of those select few. Recommended for someone looking to relieve stress.
This is surely the best album ever made.

summer is coming...get this album! its perfect for relaxing to! its not like normal zero 7 but the album is packed with classic soul, acoustic, hip hop etc!! i have listened to this album loads...its a classic!

Car Boot Soul

I couldn't bring myself to give this 5 stars despite feeling it definitely is one of those must have albums. Funky, down-tempo and perfect for lounging and entertaining as its extremely inoffensive to the ears. just downright soothing, will have you horizontal in no time. It's not a perfect album but should be in everyones music collection.

Ok, I don't like all the tracks but who has ever loved all the tracks on a CD? This is a great album with the right mix of tracks all relaxing in their own way. Beautiful!
