i like this cd. i bought it specifically for a couple of tracks, but i was surprised how much i like all of the tracks, a mixture of easy listening and mysterious music that encourages your imagination to kick in ! i like it, i recommend this cd.

Sadly I have to say I was disappointed with this compilation. Chill out music? Some tracks were OK but many are boring, bland and repetitious. Perhaps if Cafe del Mar put out less C/Ds, paying more attention to the tracks they would have a better product!

It took me a long time to begin to appreciate this album. When I first heard it I was really disappointed because it is quite unlike "Lifeforms" which I love. But then one day i totally fell in love with one of the ambient tracks toward the end of the disk. gradually over the following years the other tracks followed suit. It is another album of theirs which in that unique and amazing way gets better every time you hear it. Each time I hear sounds differently than the last. Like an experiment in my own perception. I dont think the experiment will ever end.

and by the way, at the end of track 2 the child(?) whispering also quietly says "something I cant understand".

A nice album overall, though nothing 'amazing' really. Cd1 has a particularly mixed theme, with soothing songs such as Les Nuits, or the lovely No Ordinary Morning (wow). Cd2 has more of a beat, but the rhythms are still quite bliss.
Good album, though for me, the best chill out album money can buy is Chilled Euphoria...

This Cd is well worth buying.
Firstly it is excellent value for a double disc with over 2 and a half hours of music.The sound is superb and the varition is well mixed and suited.
Highlight of this album for me are the haunting and divine Due Tramonti by Ludovico Einaudi (a genius!), a new choir arrangement of Barber's masterpiece Adagio for strings, Chopin's Nocturn Op.72/1 (as featured in 1 of last years best films "The Pianist").
Other highlights come from Arvo Part, Mascagni and Satie.
Featured performers include Lesley Garrett, the Philharmonica Orchestra, Trinity College Choir.
A fantastic album at a fantastic price, well worth getting, putting your feet up and relaxing and enjoying the beautiful music.

This is an excellent compilation which is Uptempo & On The Bossa Side of Jazz, tracks which some of us have been spinning in clubs on the original vinyl for years now onto CD! The outstanding track for me is Bala Com Bala a hard Bossa dancfloor filler from Elis Regina, Enjoy!

One Off Remixes and B-Sides

I have toyed with the idea of buying a bonobo album for some time now sowhen Amazon offered this one at a great price I couldnt resist.
Now this is a remix and b-sides album so it is a little different to thenormal output from bonobo. I personally prefer the bonobo tracks to theother artists but they are good nevertheless.
This album is great to chill out to and with the impending arrival ofsummer this will definately be playing a lot. My favourites are thescilian and the shark - quality atmospheric music.
Highly recommended.
