Totally recommended. I have all CDM albums and this compliments the chill out gendre. Great for working to or just as back ground ambience. Both cds hit the mark for sunshine and chilling. I am a veteran from Goa 92, therefore my views maybe considered out of date, but this is one of my favourites. More please.

I probably listened way too much of it until almost got bored but overall this was the best album for me ever. Even better than Dark Side of the Moon (though not same genre of music). Its classy, fun, upbeat if anything. I did have to disable a number of tracks I didnt like but out of such huge selection it didnt feel like a loss. Still this brilliant album kept me awake many nights while I was building a few kewl websites - - Maybe the songs are older now but still you wont regret it - its way toooo cooool !!!!

If you are looking for another smokers delight, then you will be rather unhappy with this cd - it IS mostly trip hop, there are some good tracks on this disk but it is not nearly as mello as previous titles like car boot soul etc. You are better off getting stoned and listening to white noise.

Not your run of the mill money spinner from the record agencies, this album really actually tries to "chill" you out, I have a lot of great memories to some of the tracks on this album so i just had to buy it again after the first one was accidently killed! Bearing in mind i dont usually BUY albums, this should be explanation enough!! well worth buying by anyone who knows a good chill out album when they hear one, Happy Listening.

The Antidote

Let's be honest, some of Morcheeba's albums since Big Calm have not exactly hit the sweet spot. The Antidote is, however, well worth a listen.

This is both definitely a Morcheeba album, and also definitely something else - an engaging 'big sounding' fusion of Big Calm and late 60's, early 70's 'sing along pop' - think of Tony Christie in a blender with Air, with a big twist of Kosheen.

To be honest - if you like Kosheen you'll like this, and vice-versa!

Daisy is not Skye - not better, not worse, just different - and it's easy to feel that, given the opportunity, she could rip out some powerful lead vocals. So, enjoy the new sound and direction, and relish that bands like Morcheeba still explore the soundscapes - and don't sit in ... Read More:

This is an excellent compilation which is Uptempo & On The Bossa Side of Jazz, tracks which some of us have been spinning in clubs on the original vinyl for years now onto CD! The outstanding track for me is Bala Com Bala a hard Bossa dancfloor filler from Elis Regina, Enjoy!
