A friend played me one of the tracks off this album - it was the first time I had heard anything by Fernando Ortega, and I went out the next day and bought this album! It has hardly been out of my CD player since. It is a great mixture of contemporary worship songs and traditional hymns treated in a contemporary way. Can't recommend it highly enough!

This is my first experience of Jars Of Clay and I love it. I love the fact that Psalm 51 is from the KJV and they have taken old hymns and revived them, with a mix of country and acoustic rock. It makes for a perfect present to a friend if you're not sure what Christian music they like!

Ever since Avalon first entered the music scene with their unique blend of vocal harmony and pop music, they've consistently released stellar CD's and had radio hits galore. With this CD, they turned their sound toward Christmas music, with great results.
The CD opens with my favorite track. "Joy (to the World)" uses the familiar carol as the chorus in a call to remember the joy in what we are really celebrating.

That is the only truly original song, although the CD is filled with covers of lesser known Christmas songs from recent years, like "Don't Save it All for Christmas Day" and "Jesus Born on this Day." I have not listened to much of Michael Card's work before - but this CD is wonderful. The words are sung tenderly and gently but have depth, strength and power behind them. I have played the CD several times this weekend and like it more the more I play it. "El Shaddai" is beautiful, "That's What Faith Must Be" is great, "Why" is profound.

This is just a beautiful CD.

I didnt actually intend to buy this albumn, it was an accident! But after listening to it I decided to keep it. It's an odd mix of Christian and non-Christian music, but it's fun and easy to listen to, and gave me an insight into artists that I'd not heard of before.

While it took Brandon Heath's debut a little while to grow on me, I was hooked on this one right from the start. Of course, it helps that I loved the first four songs.

"Give Me Your Eyes" opens things off with a bit of a hip hop vibe as Brandon prays to look at the world and see their pain because he has God's view of them.

"Wait and See" is easily my favorite. It returns to the acoustic sound of the first CD (which Brandon keeps for the rest of this disc). It's probably because I need the reminder myself right now, but the idea that God is still working in our lives is so encouraging.

"Trust You" reminds us that God is absolutely trustworthy. If He gave His life for us, there's no reason not to trust Him. ... Read More:

In 1990, four men formed a group that took the Christian music world by storm. Their self titled debut, 4Him, was the highest selling debut to date. Their unique mix of pop with tight four part harmony continued to propel their career through the 90's and into this decade.

In 2005, 4Him decided it was time to move on to other ministries. To thank their fans, they released this CD. It contains rerecordings of nine of their classic hits plus five "new" tracks.

Of course, any fan will have their own opinion of the hits rerecorded for this CD. Personally, I feel they focused too much on their middle projects THE MESSAGE and OBVIOUS. Those are my least favorite of their works, so I would have liked to see more from their earlier ... Read More:
