christmas songs for children

I was very disappointed with this CD, there is an awful piano overpowering every song and it sounds very amateurish. my 2 year old daughter doesnt like it either! I will probably never listen to this CD so it has been a complete waste of money. The songs are not well known (most of them) and the arrangements are bad. Sorry!

When I read a customers review of this CD, In the reply, "did this review help you", I answered no, the reason is, I have already got this on The old LP record version as the reviewer mentioned, I bought it in the run up to Christmas 1978, I remember I bought in a record shop at Kingston-up-Thames. Like the reviewer we played it when decorating our house and have done ever since, I had no idea it was on CD I just tried Amazon and there it was. I cant wait for this Christmas to play it, to me it sums up what a proper Christmas is and, alas has now gone. It gives a warm glow when listening to it and makes you remember how Christmas should be kept. A smahing CD.

Lots of oldies on this one, just as you might suspect from the title. They are true to the original and even my cat enjoyed 'All I want for Christmas is my Two FrontTeeth' ! He sat with his nose pressed against the speakers and enjoyed every minute! The rest are nostalgic Christmas songs from way back in your childhood, ( if your over 60 ) and when things seemed safe and cosie sitting in the parlour listening to the old bacalite radio, the original ones not todays fakes! So if you feel a reminiscence coming on - Buy this - I think you will enjoy going back to the days of Christmas when a child just after the war....
