Yeah....Twisted Sister doing a Christmas album....the absudity of it!!! But you know what, it rocks. Classic TS humour runs through the veins of this opus. I`m sure by the New year the novelty will have worn thin, but hey, put it away with the Xmas decorations and rediscover next year. A few Yuletime beverages and a Twisted Christmas, equals fun for all.

Not the best from Miss Houston but never the less its still a gr8t album. If ur a Whitney fan then it is essential. This is her most recent release. Best tracks include One Wish, Cantigue De Noel, Deck the Halls, Silent night and Who would imagine a king, which is from the 1996 Preacher's Wife soundtrack album. Overall, this is a good album for the holidays (xmas) and her smooth voice does the songs justice. 4/5.

After "Whipped Cream & Other Delights" the "Christmas Album" is actually one of the better albums put out by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. One of the most successful instrumental performers in music history, Albert shared arrangement duties on this 1968 album with Shorty Rogers, the "cool jazz" trumpeter, with Albert setting up the brass and Rogers the strings. The result is ten tracks of mostly familiar Christmas songs done in the Tijuana Brass' Ameriachi style works for the most part. "My Favorite Things" and "Sleigh Ride" have their problems, but most of these songs work, especially if you are partial to the Tijuana Brass sound. Here I am reviewing the "Deluxe" set.
This set boasts the quite superfluous addition of a couple of postcards and some rather twee Christmas decorations. Hardly worth getting excited about, but harmless enough.
The CD in the set is basically a very expanded version of her "A Winter's Garden" CD.
A variety of traditional seasonal songs are performed in Ms McKennitt's unique and definitive style all in that distinctive World/Celtic style.
A delight to listen to, it presents carols and other seasonal music performed on a variety of fascinating 'ethnic' instruments. Carols and other seasonal music - some well known and others less familiar are given a considerable shake-up whilst retaining their fundamental nature.

Snowfall: the Tony Bennett Christmas Album

Christmas comes once a year, this disc will be played perhaps twice. That would be too much. Bennett sings white Christmas as if he was dragging teeth. The Christmas melody is close to what its all about, but the rest, well nothing rang my bell, the price is wrong, not value for money. I think around a pound a disc should cover it. Still a little charity to Tony wont go amiss.

...but he forgot to add that you need to be a big fan of cheese too.
