I bought my Mother this for Christmas and I have to say it makes great viewing! Its full of traditional Christmas tunes from around the world and beautifully presented.

I didn't think it was my thing but I sat and watched it from start to finish. It has a few comical moments, a few sad ones but mostly a wonderful extravaganza of beautiful music!

When this album hit the shops Pres.Kennedy had just been assasinated.As no one felt like celebrating-so they say-the album was a total flop and warehouses all over the country had 1000s of returned copies.
Understandably Spector was annoyed after all that work!
Probably the fact that the Singing Nun represented that years Christmas hit!
In 1964 the British Invasion which gave a boost to his career as the Ronettes toured the U K and the man came here to nob with the Stones and his British answer Andrew Loog Oldham who would prove beneficial.

The design on this shirt is very cool and iconic, and the print is of the good durable rubber-kind. You may not be able to see it on the picture, but it also has "The Nightmare Before Christmas" printed at the bottom left of the front.

The bad news is that the shirt itself is very poor quality. It is flimsy, almost see-through and lost a lot of colour after just one wash.

Apparently, you pay the Disney Corporation and Touchstone Pictures for the likeness, and not Gildan clothing (who made it) for a good t-shirt to wear. My best estimate is that my new shirt will last less that a year of washings.

So, my advice: Don't buy this shirt. Find some other way of expressing your dedication to Burton's excellent little ... Read More:

It's cheesy, and not in a good way. Brandon's unique vocal sound seems to be becoming more and more pronounced over time and it can begin to drag on the casual listener. The artwork is cheesy too as is the spoken word parts to the song.

It seems almost as if the Killers only released this song almost as a tradition to see if they could follow up the success of last year's fun A Great Big Sled.

It's not all bad though, while the verses may come across as lacklustre, the chorus is pretty damn good and suitably epic in that unique Killers style. Bernstein, L - Peter Pan

In 1950 Leonard Bernstein composed songs (and music) for a production of JM Barrie's Peter Pan.
In the long run only the songs were used,the underscore music for the production being written by Alec Wilder.Bernstein's underscore was never used.
Between 1997 & 2005 Alexander Frey(the conductor on this disc) with the help of the Bernstein Estate"rediscovered"& restored the complete score of Peter Pan.It consists of 7 songs,and the rest is orchestral underscore writing,and WHAT orchestral writing.The songs are delivered with sincere heartfelt emotion by Linda Eder & Daniel Narducci.

Aimee Mann, loved and lauded for her sharp, original songwriting, doing cover versions? Surely not?! Well, it works, thanks to Aimee's superbly understated vocal and some truly innovative, yet retro, arrangements. Highlights are the poignant original composition "Calling On Mary" which sees the individual heartache under the seasonal tinsel, "Have Yourself..." which refreshes a tired classic using a simple but highly effective keyboard riff, and "White Christmas" which is nicely de-Binged by a mournful bass drum throughout. Mann's aim was to recreate the magic of vintage Christmas LPs by Sinatra, Matt Monro etc. but she's actually made this all her own.
