Originally released in the summer of 1976. I remember the day this record came out as everyone realized it was his follow-up / sequel to his masterpiece 'Welcome To My Nightmare' album. 'Goes To Hell' was a major disappointment to his old school fans. Personally, I believe that Alice was simply trying to please the record company. That's understandable. A few decent cuts I still listen to every great now and again are "You Gotta Dance", "Guilty" and "Wish You Were Here". I'm so glad he's no longer performing the title track "Go To Hell" and the sappy love ditty "I Never Cry" on his current 'Psych Drama' tour. This was Alice's second solo effort. Next one up was 1977's 'Lace And Whiskey' which is decent, SURE better than this lp.

I borrowed this of one of my friends and it blew me away everything about this album is amzing Dio's vocals Iommis guitar playing, the drumming, the very clear bass & the lyrics. The Best song has to be Neon Knights thats just mindblowing the solo is fantastic. it has a few different songs from dio's albums when he was with and a good selection though the thing i would change is instead of After all(the dead) they should of put Master Of Insanity that would of been cool. This highly recommended to anyone this is mindblowing. Real Music. BLACK SABBATH ROCK BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!!

Considering the band was falling apart and as Joe Perry put it, they were drug addicts dabbling as musicians rather than musicians dabbling in drugs, this album is a class act.
The state of the band is evident in the cover, but the music is second to none. It starts off with the classic No Surprize, one of Aerosmith's best tracks. There is a tired, ragged, but rich version of Remember Walking In The Sand.
The highlight has to be Cheese Cake, with fantastic steel guitar from Joe Perry who left the band during the making of it. Other very strong songs are Bone To Bone, Reefer Headed Woman and a beautiful song called Mia, written by Steven Tyler about his newborn daughter.
Tom Hamilton and Joey Krammer are as ... Read More:

Everyone is saying how great this album is and that it's one of the best metal albums ever, well it's not. Granted it does have some kick ass tracks on Like Breaking The Law, Rapid Fire, Grinder & Metal Gods the i'd hardly call metal. After those tracks it just gets boring. Why is this hailed as a classic why. Do yourself a favour go away from this and buy a real classic which is The Number Of The Beast By Iron Maiden. UP THE IRONS

I bought this after buying his greatest hits "Hell Is" this is an awesome rock with great solos and perfect vocals by alice which i can't see no one hating his vocals. Best tracks for me are Hey Stoopid, Snakebite, Might As Well Be On Mars & Hurricane Years. This is just awesome rock with no gimmicks. Come on you gotta love Alice Cooper.

A great album by Sabbath. Very underrated by Sabbath fans it takes a few listen to fully get into it. The standout track for me is Master Of Insanity the first time i heard it i instantly loved it. My other fave tracks are Computer Gods, After All(The Dead), Tv Crimes, Time Machine & I. This is a great album Dio's voice excellent as usual, Iommis guitar playing awesome, lyrics are amazing. If you're thinking about buying this do it's a great album.

It`s about time Diamond Head had this kind of collection. Although 1999`s "The best of Diamond Head" was a nice idea, it had a few flaws (namely nothing from the "Death and progress" album, cutting off the begining of "It`s electric" and using the "Borrowed time" versions of "Lightning to the nations" and "Am I evil?" when the "White album" recordings were definitive), and didn`t give a complete picture of the breadth of Diamond Head. This excellent double CD does. Like Hanoi Rocks or Rose Tattoo, Diamond Head`s influence and legend have never translated to fame or money. Listen to these songs, scratch your head and wonder why.
The songs are chronological, kicking off with selections from the "White album". "I am evil?", "Sucking my love", "Helpless" and "Lightning to the ... Read More:

ok - i love budgie, and the first four albums are some of the greatest rock albums ever made. my gripes here are - firstly, the extras. aint there no out-takes and demos from around this time that could have been included? instead of re-makes of classic songs from this album which are, frankly, inferior? there must be something in the archives?
secondly, the re-mastering. i was expecting great things. but whilst the sound is nice and fat, it seems to me that its nowhere near as punchy as it could have been. in fact, if you listen to this and the vinyl back to back theres really not that much difference. this is evident by the recording levels which are not very loud at all. i understand that the band had a hand in the re-mastering? hey burke, what happened?
