Its that long ago! 75, little did we know that this was David Byrons second to last Heep album.. I have the vinyl and it wasnt played much in the last decade ( if at all ) . so after getting this remastered CD it really has come to life. I all ways enjoy outakes and unreleased vault specials, and this amongst other Heep remasters has plenty. reading the sleeve notes it is amazing to think this group ever got it together to write or record but, Gerry Bron (manager producer and company excec) held the strings of these boys. a classic heep rock album similar in parts to Sweet Freedom and Wonderworld. The one track Im not to taken with is the title track R.T.Fantasy, may be it should of been on last!

The final of Alice's four early 80's "Electro New Wave" albums is by far and away the best of the four. Its funny, dark, twisted, and just plain weird. "Dada" Sets the scene in a perfect way. I don't know what the "sucking" noise on this track is supposed to be - a baby's dummy or something??
"Enough's Enough" is a classic piece of rebellion against a father. "Former Lee Warmer" a spooky tale of a deranged man locked in the attic by his brother. "No Mans Land" Contains some of The Coop's funniest lyrics ever. "Dyslexia" is a furiously bouncy song, and very catchy. "Scarlet And Sheba" is probably one of Alice's most raunchy songs ever - lyrically, and would not be lost on his more commercial "Trash" album.
"I Love America" is probably ... Read More:

It is often said that sequels can never match the originals. And they are right, sequels don't measure up - in their minds -, in their little world where there is no such things as KISS sequels are usually rubbish. But for the rest of us it is different, for those who have this album understand that what happened before can always be done just as well if not better. Which of the first two Alive albums was better is quite frankly irrelevant. Both are such pioneering live albums and such brilliant records that all rock fans should own both.
Recorded in 1977 in LA, Alive II is blood and guts rock and roll from start to finish. The main standouts are Detroit Rock City, the ever brilliant Love Gun, Calling Dr Love, Shock Me, I Want You, ... Read More:

And for me that's a very good thing. I'll be honest, heavy rock isn't my thing, so I do feel a little bit strange doing a Deep Purple review. The thing is, if you didn't know 'The Book of Teliesyn' was by DP there's little chance you'd guess. It's one of those wonderful albums that lies right on the cusp between psychedelic and progressive rock. Opening with the echo-drenched 'Listen Learn Read On' with it's eastern-style guitar riff and cosmic lyrics, you'd be forgiven for thinking you're listening to an Electric Prunes album, or perhaps early Pink Floyd. 'Wring That Neck' and 'Kentucky Woman' quickly take you into more bluesy territory, but the overall impression is still of some pretty weird, most likely US West Coast psychedelic. Indeed, DP were a lot more popular ... Read More:

It is the fourth work of '74 year announcement and "Budgie". The drum has alternated from "Ray Philips" to "Pete Boot" in this work. The member alternation seems to have succeeded because it has brought the sound the thickness and weight drumming alternatively. Feeling that pulls music is very comfortable, and it listens to a heavy lock of Gorigori with the sea weed to know the jar of a very heavy bass drum in this work though the drum is light, and the rhythm also receives the impression that it is monotonous by one, and music is smooth in "Never Turn Your Back On A Friend" of the former work now. Especially, the effect appears remarkably in the first album title tune "In For The Kill" and the fifth "Hammer and Tongs", and their most important works. I feel the thickness ... Read More:

Well having been an avid Aerosmith fan for years I was delighted that a new live album was being realeased, what did we get instead? A lazy, over produced mish mash of old and new songs that none of which stand out as being "exciting or emotional". How can an Aerosmith Live Album open with "Beyond Beautiful" is way "beyond" me when you consider that this particular track was one of the weaker creations from that very "mediocre" album "Just Push Play". From then on in this so called "live" event just goes down hill. Steven Tyler delivers as usual but even his colourful language is bleeped out!! This whole affair is totally lacking in colour..........but at least it sold a few hundred copies and keeps the band in a never ending supply of fat cigars. AVOID at all costs if you are ... Now the reviews here are generally positive, but in my opinion `Lightning to the Nations' doesn't have a high enough rating. This is pretty much the perfect NWOBHM record, it bears all the hallmarks of a NWOBHM classic: fuzzy underproduction, riffs aplenty, at least one song to do with the occult, a slightly pedestrian rhythm section and a wimpy albeit awesome singer. Yes, it could be that this album is the finest album to come out of the NWOBHM era, although it does face some strong competition from `Black Metal', `Denim and Leather' and Iron Maiden's self titled debut.
Diamond Head's sound was a step forward, not massively ground breaking as their roots still lie comfortably within 70's hard rock and heavy metal traces of Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Led ... Read More:

Restless Heart has generally received luke warm to poor reviews from most Whitesnake fans and even David Coverdale himself. David's appraisal of the songs contained on Restless Heart in Classic Rock was less than flattering.
But, it's not too bad. I have only listened to this album a couple of times but David's vocals, as usual, are top notch and the tracks are heartfelt. Give it a go. The song, Restless Heart, really grows on you. The last reviewer described David's voice as "chocolate vocals". Very accurate indeed.
This album is nowhere near as heavy or catchy as 1987/Slip Of The Tongue but is a lot bluesier.

Kiss are a great band. I never really like their old studio recordings but this live cd is one of the best rock cds i own! Full of good riffs, guitar solos and interaction with the audience, this is always exciting to listen to. Essential to a rock fan.
