It's a pity because it is a great ballad. Still worth 5 Stars though!

If you have any sense and appreciate good, rock music then this is a CD in which you should and must have in your collection.
Highly recommened for the superb title track alone!

Hot on the heels of 'Perpendicular', probably my favourite Deep Purple, album to date, I bought this fine collection of songs. I love Steve Morse's guitar work and he brings a new edge and purpose to the older material. The whole set is performed immaculately with enthusiasm and excitement which belies the age of the band members. If you like Purple, buy this one now (that's if you haven't already)! I can't wait to hear 'Total Abandon'!

Covenant

I must have been living on another planet since I was unaware that Schenker had rejoinded UFO for 3 albums around 2000. I had dropped out of UFO pretty much as he left the band many years ago. Well this album - Covenant - and also Walk on Water are absolutely brilliant. The third one with Schenker (Sharks) is definitely poorer (maybe correlated with why Schenker look like such a dejected hobo on the pictures, he is not inspired on Sharks !!).
Any fan of good heavy metal with shining incisive melodious guitar soli must have Walk on Water and Covenant. Brilliant.

Crazy Nights

How could anyone follow the "Spellbound" album of the previous year? With some difficulty i'd imagine! Here the Tygers ( in classic line up mode ) take a solid stab at it though, making it sound effortless as they plough manfully out of the remains of the NWOBHM. Although it lacks the consistent quality of the tracks on Spellbound, it offers a much more punky and raw sound ( which the band later said sounded like it was recorded in a tin can! ).
Album highlights include the fist pumping, air guitaring anthem "do it good" , "love dont stay" one of the finest potential metal singles ever, the super sleazy, Alex Harvey-esque "never satisfied", the twin guitar assualt of "running out of time" and album closer "raised on rock"

Denim and Leather

Managed to get this fantastic album from Saxon remastered EMI Japan paid through the nose but for the quality of sound it was well worth it.This album is one of the best Saxon albums available and I would urge you to get a copy of Denim and Leather turn up loud and listen to some great quality music.I have a good collection of Saxon albums right up to the latest offering the Inner Sanctum and there all fantastic but I hold a special place in my collection for this superb album,every track rocks and all I can say is thank goodness Saxon are still going and making quality albums.Hope review is of help.

Rev It Up: Remastered

'Rev it Up' is yet another strong album from Vixen - the super-talented all-girl band who were perhaps the only female outfit to commercially break into the world of hard rock and metal in the late 80's. The first seven or so songs on the album are excellent - catchy rock tunes that make for fun, easy listening. The real stand-out song of the album is the megaballad 'How Much Love' which shows how talented the members of the band were, although like 'Love is a Killer' the over-production and occasional use of keyboards and synthesizers makes it a bit over-the-top (the band's live performances of them were better).

However, once you get to 'Fallen Hero' it all kind of falls apart - the use of keyboards and synthesizers returns and has a disastrous effect ... Read More:

..how bloody good this album was!!!

Its been a long time since I last listened to this all the way through and am just glad I've 're-bought' it!! Even now it still sounds fresh and new, with brilliant production.

Brings back loads of excellent memories of the early 80's!

If you have to buy a few albums to remind you of how good this kind of music was then you can't go wrong with this!
