If you're looking for a good overview of Alice Cooper's incrediable music, this is the perfect CD.
Here you will find the legendary hits, "Poison", "Schools Out" etc, cult classics and a generous selection of album tracks.
This is a great album which lives up to it's name, it's suitable for hardcore Alice fans, newbies and those people who just like decent rock music.

I find this album so enjoyable. It is a grower. You just cannot pick holes in Phils music, everything he does is brilliant or close to,and he seems to do it in a natural and effortless way it really does take your breath away at the mans brilliance. There is a good feel and a warmth to this album and you cannot but help being in a good mood after listening to it, more so than on Black Rose the previous album.I have listened to some of the bad reviews on this album and my advice is give it a chance .Phil was a proud man and his pride would never allow himself to produce a bad album.I find it vibrant, honest and innovating throughout.5 stars and forever unequalled.

This album came out at about the same time as Appetite For Destruction and ( I'll whisper the next bit ) I preferred this . The boogy good time blues of Tyler , Perry and Co. was encapsulated on this album , and showed that there was room for a sense of humour in rock music . No particular highlight for me - the whole album's great .

I was so surprised when i found out that in fact alot of maiden fans dont like this, whats not to like? Its filled with Iron Maiden classics, I personaly love this album (though i do love all Iron Maiden albums). This album has classics like The Apparition (why does noone like this song is beyond me), Childhoods End, Afraid to Shoot Stranggers wait what the hell am i doing all this album is a classic how can you not like this album. People even say The X Factor & Virtual XI is better then this, dont get me wrong they're awesome album but compared to this album it just doesn come close to this album. This album has great lyrics, great vocals by dickinson (duh), great solos & riffs & awesome drumming by nicko. Fair enough maiden fans having a slight ... Read More:

Great album, let down by some lame copy protection which means that it isn't recognised by my computer so it can't be ripped for MP3 player listening.

I borrowed this of one of my friends and it blew me away everything about this album is amzing Dio's vocals Iommis guitar playing, the drumming, the very clear bass & the lyrics. The Best song has to be Neon Knights thats just mindblowing the solo is fantastic. it has a few different songs from dio's albums when he was with and a good selection though the thing i would change is instead of After all(the dead) they should of put Master Of Insanity that would of been cool. This highly recommended to anyone this is mindblowing. Real Music. BLACK SABBATH ROCK BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!!

I used to have Steppenwolf compilation on Vinyl - not this one - but it got mislaid somewhere. Didn't miss it too much. I was always disappointed that they mimed on "The Whistle Test", this was a vehicle for great live bands and they were supposed to be one of them. It left me feeling they were fakes but I recently caught John Kay & a reformed Steppenwolf doing a real live set and it was excellent. Made me look for a 'best of' again.
This compilation seemed to include most of the good stuff I had on the vinyl (although I'd hoped to get "Snowblind Friend" again - a sad omission) and a few other things I hadn't heard. It works well, nothing too exceptional but a good chunk of American nostalgia. The Pusher & Magic Carpet Ride have always been great ... Read More:

I was nine years old in 1975 and somehow I missed out on this great album (I liked the Wombles at the time). Now at 42 I finally get to hear an amazing piece of work.It never ceases to amaze me how some of my generation dismissed the 70's as a time of old dinosaur rock, hippy noodling and middle of the road soft rock tosh when there was such diverse and creative music around.Alice influenced the punks, the rockers, yet still manages to sound unlike anyone else here with a creepy cinematic rock opus of unparalled magnificance,or something like that.
Release Date March 23, 1998
This is very different to other Iron Maiden and not in a bad way. So many Iron Maiden have different Opinions on this album and Virtual XI. I have no problem with any of them they both have great songs. The best songs here are The Sign Of The Cross, Man On the Edge, Fortunes Of War & Blood On The Worlds Hand (cool bass intro). Blaze is a great vocalist and this is a great album. I recommend getting This and Virtual XI as your last Iron Maiden albums and getting the classic albums Killers or The Number Of The Beast. UP THE IRONS
