Fantastic CD & quality reproduction only disappointment is "Proud One" isn't included. Can't find this song on any Frankie Valli/Four Seasons CDs any ideas ?
Release Date August 01, 1994
There is simply no topping this album when it comes to brilliant music making. Repeated listens over the years simply reveal more depths, which to me is the sign of wonderful, timeless music. The word classic is over-used, but for me, Dark Side of The Moon goes beyond being a piece of great rock music. It is simply great music. Taken as a complete work, you are unlikely to spend 42 minutes in better company, time and time again. I can think of no other recording that sounds so fresh every time I play it. Absolutely wonderful - and worthy of your attention.
Release Date November 21, 2005
I bought this album because I like a lot of the songs on the album and just wanted a general overview of Cash's career. I was also thrilled to see a cover of One by U2 on it (one of my favourite songs by them), and a couple of live songs; A Boy Named Sue in particular, because he was just such an incredible showman and it was great to listen to this imagining being there to witness him delivering such great performances.
This is a brilliant album and brilliant value for money; a great introduction to, or overview of, Cash's career.

To say Nick Cave isn't the force he once was, is like saying Vlad the Impaler had minor anger management issues. Glories LONG gone, he's resorting to loose balladeering and conventional rock in a vain and desperate attempt to disguise the fact he's got nothing new to say and should've given up on this music thing a long time ago.
A new Nick Cave album is cause for despair, where once it was cause for celebration. Ok, you can't go on re-living past triumphs (ask Morrissey) but the guy must have SOME of that early threat and purpose kicking around somewhere. Where's the gusto and urgency that drove classics like 'Nick the Stripper' or 'Mr Clarinet' ?
He's become a rock dullard, a pale imitation, a caricature of all he once meant.
He's got ... Read More:

This is one of those classic albums that everyone has to own, and it is a very special record.
There are so many brilliant songs on this album; personal favourites are Out On The Weekend, Heart Of Gold and Old Man, but every track is just as brilliant as the previous and next.
The overall feel is just mellow and relaxed in terms of musical arrangement and vocal delivery, but the lyrics are intense in their depths of heartfelt emotion.
It sounds too simple to be this good, with very modest and unassuming instruments and a harmonica, which adds to the feel of the heart of the American countryside/prairies.
This album may be 36 years old but it still sounds so fresh and is still relevant now.

Queen are the most overrated band ever. This collection does contain the odd decent song but most songs here are trivial, soul-less, hollow and very very empty. The world's most pointless band!

So here it is - the best selling songs from the best selling band ever. The idea behind this compilation is that all the songs were Number One singles either in the UK or US. Sounds fairly simple, but in fact browsing the negative reviews on here shows many people complaining about this CD. Main criticisms are either that a Beatles greatest hits isn't necessary because people ought to buy the individual albums, or moans about certain tracks being omitted (Strawberry Fields Forever has been mentioned a lot - yes it might very well be the Beatles' best single but it didn't reach No. 1).
While it is true that the Beatles are a band best bought album-by-album, this is a great purchase for newbies or people with a casual interest in this legendary band. I own most ... Read More:

I don't really know what to say about this, seeing that it's the first Pink Floyd album i've ever bought, except that it's very, very, good, But if you're looking for happy, cheerful music, look elsewhere, because although it contains a wide range of moods such as anger, fear, and bleak sadness, there's not a jolly tune anywhere. David Gilmours' guitar is simply ace, and effect of Roger Water's biting, sarcastic lyrics is heightened by his powerful voice. Makes a solid listen, especially the second disc, but as the tracks are all merged together by random sound effects like furious teachers and aeroplane engines it's hard to put individual tracks on an MP3 or ipod but forget about that anyway because it's supposed to be a single work. Overall not a waste of money, next stop ... Read More:

First things first. Sgt Pepper is not a concept or themed album. 3 of the 13 songs are vaguely based on the theme of the Beatles "playing" at being an old time band (including a reprise of the title song) and some of the music is continuous between songs. The rest of the songs are unrelated so why is the album so often described as groundbreaking? Listen to it and you will find out. The band and producer George Martin produced a remarkable album that at times is unashamedly experimental.
It is probably best summed up in "A Day in the Life", where they really throw the kitchen sink at it. In the middle and at the end of the song an orchestra builds a wall of sound for what seems like forever, until a crescendo is reached. It sounds remarkable now, it must have blown ... Read More:
